[NIDOTO]
"Thought I'd never see you again," Yuka said, looking at the woman standing at her door, the familiar creases reminding her of a time that they had once shared. It felt like a lifetime ago, despite the few days that had passed.
Decisions had been made.
So many decisions.
Yet none of them had her talking to the one person she loved the most, but never thought she would see again. Maya was what fate wanted for both of them, but hells be damned if all of this did make any sense for her at the time.
Maybe there was more to it, but what the hell was Yuka supposed to do about it?
"Yeah, not this soon at least. But then here I am. I know you have no obligation to play nice with me, but we are way past this particular talk, Yuka," Kiyomi said as she stared at her mentor.
She had not wanted to come back this soon, much less when she had just come out of her rut, but she had a lot to do. Things that she needed to make right, and one of them was with Yuka.
