"She will kill us if she finds us here, Ichika," Otaru said as they walked through the barriers of the Kimura manor and into the house that looked bigger than they could ever afford to live in on their own.
It was a pretty manor, but it was empty and lonely, a reminder of what Izanami had done to the one family that they should have protected.
Then again, Izanami wasn't exactly the loveliest person in the realm, and perhaps considering the woman kind was a stretch, too. This was nothing like they had imagined.
"We will be long gone by the time she comes back. She went to the Nidotos for company, perhaps," Ichika said, and Otaru sighed as they looked at each other and then at the one place that they were not supposed to be in.
But then Sakura was dying, and they needed to get as many people as they could.
