The first caravan left the starter village with seven wagons.
Only two belonged to people from the Prime Universe. The organizer rented the others from local farmers and hired drivers who knew the northern road. That decision cost more than buying cheap wagons in the Sanctuary, but it prevented forty visitors from discovering that owning a wagon and guiding one across an unfamiliar country were different skills. At least when they rented a wagon a driver who know what they were doing was included with the price.
Golden Axe traveled with the caravan as guards.
The organizer was a cloth merchant named Maren. She had cleared Fey Nights and failed Orc Highlands twice before deciding that defeating an orc chief was unnecessary for buying and selling fabric. She hopped to find some good things that she could ship outside of the dungeon.
She controlled the wagons.
