Elise-"Hey Damion look here"
Damion walks over to Elise. She points out a hose on the ground spewing out mist.
Elise-"The holy magic in the air is coming from this"
Damion-"Julius probably made this"
Elise-"Yeah, I think so too. Now we just have to follow this and we should be able to find the rest of our team. Now which direction do we go?"
Damion-"To where it starts"
Elise-"You don't say. Now how would I know what way that is"
Damion-"Because of that"
Damion points to a section of the hose that has the words "go this way" with an arrow.
Elise-"Oh"
Elise and Damion begin walking in the direction of the arrow. Along the way they reach a point where the hose is connected to another hose. At the point the hoses intercept there is the same message again with the arrow pointed in the same direction.
Elise-"It was a good thing Julius put those directions on these hoses. Otherwise we would have gotten lost trying to figure out which hose to follow"
Elise looks over at Damion who seems to just be staring off into space.
Elise-"You good, you haven't said anything for a few minutes"
Damion-"The voice, it's getting louder"
Elise-"It is? So your saying we are heading in the same direction the voice is in"
Damion-"Either that or the voice is coming towards us"
Elise-"If it's coming towards us then it must not be very smart"
Damion-"We also haven't seen any of those plant monsters in a while"
Elise-"That's probably because of Marigold's holy water. Wait"
Elise puts her hand in front of Damion. Her elf ears are twitching.
Elise-"I hear footsteps"
Damion(whispering)-"Do you think-"
Elise charges forward towards the sound. Elise reels her arm back and punches. Her fist is met with a loud metallic banging sound. Adam had blocked her attack with his sword.
Elise-"Adam?"
Adam-"Elise!"
Elise steps back while Damion catches up with her.
Elise-"About time you-"
Adam runs up and hugs her.
Adam-"I'm so glad you're okay!"
Elise-"Uh... yeah. It's not like the monsters here are that hard to deal with"
Damion-"Although maybe it was harder for him, since he had Joe as his partner"
Joe-"Dude, really?"
Elise-"But seriously though, I missed you too but, can you get off now?"
Adam-"Sorry"
Adam steps back.
Adam-"I'm just relieved to see you're alright. I was worried you could have died to-"
Elise-"Wait how can we be sure you're the real Adam and Joe, that monster on the surface disguised itself"
Joe-"You think we are the monsters? You're the one who immediately attacked us"
Elise-"Well your footsteps were loud. Sounded like a big monster"
Joe-"We are in a cave, it echoes"
Damion-"I'm pretty sure it's them"
Elise-"How can you be sure?"
Damion-"Because they don't look like monsters"
Elise-"The monsters can disguise themselves"
Adam-"Wait that's right, you could see through the disguise. On the surface you could tell it was a monster before we could"
Joe-"Well that proves we aren't monsters, but what about you?"
Elise-"Well-"
Adam-"We don't have time for this, listen did you see that giant monster?"
Elise-"A giant monster?"
Damion-"All of the monsters I've seen are normal sized"
Adam-"Well I don't know for sure if it's giant, but I think it is"
Elise-"How do you not know if it's giant? Did you not see it?"
Joe-"Well it's clear you guys didn't see it. However big it is or whatever it looks like doesn't matter. That monster was insanely strong, its mana made the whole room shake. It was terrifying"
Damion-"Shaking the room isn't that impressive"
Adam-"No, Joe is right. That monster, it was terrifying even without me seeing it. If we are going to fight it, we'll need Julius to boost all of us to maybe have a chance"
Elise-"Are you serious, there's no way there's a monster that strong here. That would have to at least be an upper A rank monster and those almost immediately get taken out by the A and S rank hunters"
Adam-"We must have ran into it before they could"
Damion-"I hope we don't run into that monster then"
The sound of a large explosion echoes inside of the cave. Suddenly the mist from the hoses stops spewing out.
Joe-"You know, our timing is almost prophetic"
Adam-"We need to start taking a vow of silence"
Damion-"It's probably attacking either Julius or Marigold"
Elise-"Probably the both of them. We need to go help them"
Adam-"Obviously, let's go"
Joe-"I was really hoping we could leave instead of fighting that thing"
Elise-"Let's go!"
The four of them proceed to run towards the sound of the explosion.
Damion-"The voice keeps getting louder, maybe it's coming from the monster"
Elise-"Maybe it's trying to lure you in"
Adam-"A voice?"
Damion-"I've been hearing it since I landed in the cave. I feel like I remember it from somewhere"
Joe-"I'm hearing more explosion sounds. We must be close"
The four of them reach the end of the tunnel. Upon exiting the tunnel they see the large monster inside of the cavern. The monster is harnessing an immense amount of mana into an attack against Marigold on the ground.
Adam-"Evolved skill: lunar slash"
Elise-"Evolved skill: solar beam"
Joe-"Archery skill: magic arrow"
The three of them launch their attacks at the monster which knocks it off balance.
Elise-"This monster seems like more fun than the others ones I've been fighting"
Adam-"I'm not looking forward to this"
Joe-"I can't believe I actually shot it. I really hope it doesn't target me"
Damion-"...I- is that you?"
Damion looks into the yellow glowing eyes of the monster, he recognizes it.
Damion-"Desmond?"
