The little purple dragon hatchling fiddled with the eggshell pieces, its tiny pink claws gripping the broken fragments and stuffing them into its mouth.
Its chubby little face bulged even more. It crawled over to the golden egg and lightly patted it with its pink claws.
This little gesture was like a neighborly greeting. It even let out two HISSES.
Then, from inside the golden egg, the tiny golden occupant turned around and patted the same spot the little purple one had touched, as if in response.
Since birth, the two eggs had always been together and were very familiar with each other's scent.
The little golden hatchling inside the egg also knew that its older brother was next door.
But the eggshell was so hard; she kicked for a long time without being able to break through.
The purple hatchling prodded the golden egg. It tipped over and rolled twice, causing the little one inside to roll around clumsily as well.
