When Si Yan returned with the little Black Tiger in her arms, an ungentle expression appeared on Bai Feng's face for the first time.
He coldly regarded the little black creature in her hands.
Si Yan felt somewhat intimidated by his expression.
She asked meekly, "Bai Feng, may I keep Xiao Hei? He was all alone in the forest and looked so pitiful."
Bai Feng's eyebrows arched, and he smiled gently.
"Si Yan. Come here."
Si Yan put down the little black cat and stepped forward. Bai Feng then lifted her onto his lap.
He gently tapped her little nose, speaking softly, "Si Yan, you may keep a pet, but you mustn't randomly pick things up from outside. Besides... this isn't a little cat."
Si Yan asked in confusion, "Not a little cat?"
She couldn't possibly mistake a cat, could she?
Suddenly, noises came from outside. Si Yan sensed someone approaching.
Bai Feng set Si Yan down. She quickly picked up the little black cat from the ground and stood to one side.
