Dōma's body leaped high into the air. He reached back with his hand, trying to remove the talisman stuck on his back, but grasped only empty air.
Below him, Water Lily Bodhisattva's massive palms clapped together with astonishing speed, its palms aimed directly at Kanae, who was also airborne.
At the same time, Dōma swung his fan downward. The two Cold White Princesses immediately turned and once again spewed freezing air toward Kaito.
"Flower Breathing, Second Form: Honorable Shadow Plum!"
Kanae executed her defensive technique, instantly releasing several enormous arcing slashes in all directions.
Pink sword light blossomed like a giant plum flower, shattering Water Lily Bodhisattva's closing massive palms.

The young girl adorned with a butterfly-patterned haori moved with the graceful lightness of a dancing butterfly. She flipped sideways in the air, her sword swinging out in a horizontal slash.
A dazzling pink sword aura instantly expanded, shooting straight for Dōma's neck once more.

Dōma used his remaining hand to raise the golden iron fan, blocking the strike.
"Your struggle is not without its beauty! Young maiden!"
From the shoulder where he had lost his entire arm, a new arm abruptly regenerated, reaching straight for Kanae's neck.
"Bind!!"
Several semi-transparent chains shot up from the ground, streaking through the air towards Dōma.
"How truly annoying."
Dōma kicked out, using the force of Kanae's block against her Nichirin Blade to propel himself backward, evading the chains. His eyes shifted to Kaito, who had somehow returned to the top of the torii gate.
Simultaneously, blinding sunlight erupted again. The three ice constructs summoned by Dōma's Blood Demon Art melted away completely under the sunlight released by the talismans.
Immediately after, both Dōma and Kanae landed on the ground simultaneously, facing each other from ten meters apart once more.
"How do you feel, Miss Flower Pillar?"
Kaito's voice, laced with amusement, carried from a distance.
"I've never felt better."
Kanae swung her Nichirin Blade once and again raised it with both hands, pointing the tip directly at Dōma.
"Thank you, Mr. Uchiha." An unprecedented, confident smile spread across her face. "If it's the current me…"
Her body shot forward at high speed, leaving afterimages in her wake.
"…I might truly be able to defeat an Upper Rank demon!!"
"Flower Breathing, Fifth Form: Peony of Futility!"
Nine rapid, consecutive thrusts, all aimed at Dōma's neck. The pink sword light resembled a giant peony blooming in the night sky, lingering for a long moment.
Instantly, nine rapid, overlapping metallic clashing sounds rang out almost simultaneously.
Dōma, wielding his golden iron fan, deflected Kanae's assault with incredible speed.
At the same moment, the spiritual power chains that had previously retracted and vanished abruptly shot up from beneath his feet. Laden with sheets of faintly glowing paper talismans, they crisscrossed through the air, instantly binding him securely with no possibility of evasion.
"Got you."

The voices of Kaito and Kanae sounded in unison.

Instantly, all the paper talismans attached to the spiritual chains erupted. Under the emitted sunlight, Dōma's skin and flesh charred black, peeling off his body in chunks.

Dōma's head, flying high into the air, muttered, his face still adorned with that harmless smile.
"Death doesn't seem all that impressive, after all…"
"I'd suggest you save such words for after you've experienced hell."
Kaito's body descended from the air, landing beside Kanae. He looked at Dōma with pity in his eyes.
"That is, if you can still say them by then…"
"Eh? What…"
Dōma's question remained unfinished as his body and head completely disintegrated into ashes under the sunlight bursting from the talismans.
'Hehe. Struggle all you want in the hands of that sadistic Hell Assistant.'
Kaito watched Dōma's soul with deep meaning.
At that moment, a look of utter astonishment on his face, he was dragged into the Gate of the Yellow Spring by several prison guards who had rushed to the scene.
The prison guards bowed silently to Kaito before escorting Dōma away, disappearing without a trace.

Kanae pushed herself up using her Nichirin Blade. Watching Kaito's figure bathed in the morning sun, she couldn't help but smile happily.
"Thank you for your assistance, Mr"
She bowed deeply at the waist.
"Has Miss Flower Pillar finally confirmed that I am not a demon?" Kaito turned to face her, smiling.
"I misunderstood you."
Kanae, who had just straightened up, began to bow again in apology.
"That's quite unnecessary. I did not mind," Kaito reached out a hand to stop her from bowing again.

"Please, just call me Kanae." Butterfly Kanae seemed to let out a sigh of relief. "I will report the experiences of this journey truthfully to Oyakata-sama. If Oyakata-sama permits it, I will return to escort you. However, please understand that I cannot directly…"
