We arrived at home where a nice spread and a few dozen people waited for us in the garden.
They were all a little nervous and uncomfortable meeting my parents, but the best thing about my father and mother is their ability to change like a chameleon.
"Please don't be too formal. You and your children helped my son in many ways... I thank you." My mother was quick to dissolve the awkward silence, and both my friends and their parents visibly looked calmer.

My father looked amused. "I see... the Chain Manipulator. Nice to meet you." He shook Tetsuya's hand.
I saw his parents, particularly his father, puff out his chest with pride. Even Mikeyla looked impressed.
