*I was given the power to go to where I want and I think for a bit and decide on it... a few hours later I'm walking out of one of the entrance ways of the Record Of Ragnarok coliseum. you see I had teleported myself into said world and am wearing simple sneakers, jeans, a T-shirt and hoodie, jeans and sneakers red while hoodie and T-shirt is black, the hood is up letting only my nose and mouth be seen. I have an old big cross tied to my back that is big enough to be used as a lawn ornament or hang on the wall. while in my right hand is an old over 30 year old rapier covered in rust, I had barely been able to get Brunhilde to agree to let me fight, though she did not know I was gonna have my own weapons, I never told her. they don't sense anything about these things and even laugh about how old these are, I ignore them looking at my the old Rapier, it was tied to the cross that is now on my back for years and I brought them out to use I don't know if they will be of any help but I believe in my family heirlooms so I will use them. once I'm done internally monologuing I pay attention to the arena I have walked on*
*The massive coliseum stretches before me, its ancient stone walls reaching towards the heavens. The roar of the crowd echoes through the arena as they eagerly await the next battle. I observe how the warriors from both humanity and the gods' side eye your unusual choice of weapons with barely concealed derision.*
"Those rusty old things won't last five seconds against a divine weapon," *a warrior nearby sneers dismissively.*
*The cross and rapier may appear worthless to others, but I sense something... different about them. An energy, faint but present, pulses within those ancient family heirlooms. Whether anyone else can perceive it or not, these artifacts hold power - power that even the gods themselves may have overlooked.*
"Time will tell," *I say simply, keeping my gaze fixed on the arena ahead.*
*after many fights I go out to the arena to face my opponent*
*once the bell rings he charges and I swing the rapier towards Mjolnir not taking a fencing stance that is normally used with rapiers but instead an unrefined stance for swinging*
*Thunder crashes as the divine weapon and your rusty rapier collide. To everyone's shock, instead of shattering, your blade holds firm. A strange energy ripples through the arena - the cross on your back begins to emit a soft golden glow. Thor's eyes widen in disbelief.*
"Impossible!" *Thor growls, pressing harder against your blade.* "What manner of mortal weaponry is this?"
*The crowd falls silent, watching in amazement as the seemingly worthless rapier matches Mjolnir's might. I lean forward intently, sensing that there's far more to these family heirlooms than meets the eye.*
"these items belonged to my Father, they are not as worthless as you believe"*I growl and push forward*
*A wave of power emanates from your family heirlooms, causing Thor to stumble back. His face contorts with fury and confusion. The cross continues to pulse with that mysterious golden light, seeming to respond to your determination.*
"These mortal trinkets... there's divine energy within them!" *Thor exclaims, his grip tightening on Mjolnir.* "But how?"
*The crowd murmurs in amazement as the truth becomes clear - these are no ordinary weapons. I watch intently as the rust on the rapier begins to flake away, revealing gleaming steel beneath. Whatever power these heirlooms possess, it seems to be awakening.*
*I growl and fight harder*
*The clash of weapons fills the arena as you and Thor trade blows. The Norse God's fury grows with each exchange as your rusty rapier continues to match his divine weapon. Lightning crackles around Mjolnir, but the cross on your back pulses brighter in response, seeming to protect you from the worst of Thor's power.*
"What manner of mortal are you?!" *Thor roars, unleashing a devastating overhead strike.*
*The crowd watches in stunned silence as divine lightning illuminates the arena. I observe how the rust continues to fall away from your rapier, revealing intricate runes carved into the steel beneath. The cross's glow intensifies further, and for a moment, I swear I see another figure superimposed over your form - perhaps the echo of your father's legacy made manifest.*
"These weapons... they carry a power I have not felt in millennia," *Thor growls, his expression a mix of rage and grudging respect.*
*I growl and with one hand pull the cross from my back to use it as a blunt weapon*
*The massive cross, far heavier than it appears, swings with surprising speed. Thor barely manages to dodge as the ancient artifact crashes into the ground, leaving cracks in the arena floor. The golden light now emanates from both weapons, creating a mesmerizing display.*
"Two divine weapons?!" *Thor bellows in disbelief.*
*I watch in fascination as the cross and rapier seem to resonate with each other, their combined power filling the arena with a tangible pressure. The crowd has fallen completely silent, transfixed by this unexpected turn of events.*
*an hour passes*
*The epic battle has taken its toll on both combatants. Thor's armor shows numerous dents and scratches from your cross's strikes, while his lightning has scorched the ground around you. Yet neither of you show signs of yielding. The cross and rapier continue to pulse with that mysterious golden light, seeming to grow stronger with each passing moment.*
"Your father..." *Thor pants, wiping blood from his lip,* "He must have been no ordinary mortal to possess such weapons."
*The crowd watches in awe as these two titans clash. I notice how your movements, though unrefined, carry an instinctual understanding of the weapons' power. The rust has completely fallen away from the rapier now, revealing it as a masterwork of divine craftsmanship. Even the gods in attendance lean forward, clearly recognizing something about these weapons that eludes mortal understanding.*
"my father was just a mortal but these items belonged to him, these were his and here I name the Rapier and Cross, Watch from Above"*I yell and slam them together*
*A blinding explosion of golden light erupts as the weapons connect. The cross and rapier merge into a single form - a massive golden greatsword inscribed with divine runes. The power emanating from it causes even Thor to take a step back, his eyes wide with recognition.*
"By the World Tree..." *Thor whispers.* "Those weren't just any mortal's weapons. They were..."
*Before he can finish, the newly formed Watch from Above pulses with intensity that makes the very air vibrate. I observe how the divine energy seems to resonate with your very being, as if your father's legacy has finally awakened in full. The crowd holds its breath, sensing that the real battle is only just beginning.*
*the battle continues on for two more hours*
*The epic battle has reached its crescendo. Both warriors show signs of exhaustion, yet neither yields. Thor's armor is shattered in multiple places, blood trickling from various wounds. The Watch from Above glows with an intensity that rivals the sun itself, its power seemingly endless.*
"Your father..." *Thor wheezes between strikes,* "He must have been the one who..."
*The crowd watches in stunned silence as these titans continue their earth-shattering duel. The arena floor has been reduced to rubble, lightning scars etched deep into the stone. I observe how your movements have become more fluid, as if the weapon is teaching you its secrets with each passing moment.*
*I growl in pain as a rock sent at high speeds goes through my heart leaving a gaping hole, I slam the sword into the ground to keep me standing, whispers like those of angles fill the minds of both mortals and Divine saying"he will die", again and again*"I Refuse"*the whispers immediately cease and my heart pumps harder, my blood veins stretch*"I Refuse to die"
*The arena falls deathly silent at the horrific wound, yet your defiance seems to shake reality itself. The Watch from Above pulses with blinding intensity as your blood vessels bulge visibly beneath your skin. Your heart, visible through the gaping hole, beats with supernatural force.*
"Impossible..." *Thor staggers back, Mjolnir trembling in his grip.* "No mortal can survive such a wound!"
*I watch in awe as golden light from your weapon seems to pour into your wound, your flesh knitting together with impossible speed. The whispers of death fade entirely, replaced by a tangible pressure of pure willpower. The crowd stands frozen, witnessing what can only be described as a miracle born of sheer determination.*
"You are no ordinary mortal," *Thor declares, readying his hammer once more.*
"I refuse, no matter how the world tries to kill me, I will only die by my own hand!!"
*The air itself seems to bend around you as your declaration echoes through the arena. The Watch from Above blazes like a star, responding to your iron will. Your healing wound pulses with golden light as flesh and bone regenerate completely.*
"Such determination..." *Thor's voice carries a note of respect despite his battle fury.* "Perhaps there is more to humanity than we gods believed."
*I observe how the divine weapon seems to harmonize with your absolute refusal to die, its power growing stronger with each heartbeat. The spectators, both human and divine, watch in stunned silence as you stand defiantly before the God of Thunder.*
"let's finish this"*I get my weapon ready*"God you cunt, better be myself that is winner because if not then your ass is gonna have to deal with me for a long time"*after I finish I slash forward for the final strike*
*The collision of weapons creates a shockwave that rocks the entire arena. Your blade meets Thor's hammer in an explosion of golden light and divine lightning. The raw power threatens to tear the coliseum apart as two unstoppable forces clash.*
"SO BE IT!" *Thor roars, pouring all his godly might into one final strike.*
*I watch in awe as the fate of humanity hangs in this singular moment. The Watch from Above blazes like a newborn sun, your determination made manifest in pure divine energy. The spectators shield their eyes from the blinding display as two titans meet in what can only be their final exchange.*
*once the dust clears, Thor is on the ground cut in half alongside his weapon*"you Bastard Divine, if you think yourselves superior than face your death head on!!! fight me if you wish to continue this charade and fall like his or leave humanity alone and live to see another day!!"
*once the dust clears, Thor is on the ground cut in half alongside his weapon*"you Bastard Divine, if you think yourselves superior than face your death head on!!! fight me if you wish to continue this charade and fall like his or leave humanity alone and live to see another day!!"
*I chuckle and slam my sword into my chest*"my death is here too"*I say and fall to the ground dead. a gust of wind appears before I fall to the ground, everyone must cover their eyes but when they reopen my body is not on the ground, it is nowhere, the only thing that proves I was here is my blood still fresh on the ground*
*A haunting silence descends upon the arena as your final act unfolds. The Watch from Above gleams one last time as you drive it through your own heart. Your defiant smile remains frozen as the wind picks up, forcing everyone to shield their eyes.*
"By the gods..." *I whisper, watching in amazement as the gust subsides.* "Gone... like a legend fading into myth."
*The fresh blood on the arena floor serves as the only evidence of your existence. The gods and humans alike stand in stunned silence, forever changed by what they witnessed. Some say you simply returned to the void from whence you came, while others believe you transcended mortality itself. But one truth remains - you chose your own ending, defiant to the last.*
"Remember this day," *Brunhilde proclaims solemnly.* "When a mortal chose both humanity's victory and his own fate."
