The dirt-blood was cooked alive inside of his armour, and his unmoving remains continued to burn brightly, with the absence of one carrier, the battering ram's advance slowed down, but it was only for a moment, as the other dirt-blooded soldiers that were following along rushed in, many of them doing the work that was performed by just one of their larger fellows.
"Hurry, kill the other trolls!" an archer shouted as he saw it all happen, invigorated by seeing that the flaming arrows were more than just a little effective, the archers fired without stop, soon causing two more to go up in flames, every time however, the smaller enemy warriors would swoop in, and there were so many of them, trying to shoot them down felt like a waste of time.
They focused on the big ones first, hoping that once they were all gone, that even the combined efforts of many enemies would not be enough to move the battering ram- Only three of those were left carrying the ram, they were close.
