Runes flared along its walls and stairs.
Aksai suddenly felt something tug at his soul. The woman turned her head slightly toward him.
"Do not resist," she said. "Open your soul."
'Well… fuc*ck. The woodland clone is absolutely useless in this case.'
Aksai wanted to avoid exposing his soul. But he couldn't say no to getting the ownership of the Heavenly Poison Pyramid. Something about it told him that it would be extremely useful to him in the future.
This artifact was probably in the same league with Aksai's Enchanted Everwood Farm. Plus, it seemed to have room for growth. Also, it was associated with the Heretic Dao even though Aksai was still unable to understand the true extent of its connection with it.
As such, Aksai did not refuse the offer. He gritted his teeth and did as he was told. The pull on his soul became stronger as soon as he complied. The pyramid answered.
