Neil went to the bathroom alone.
Unaware of anything unusual, Sharon sat comfortably on the sofa, thinking how nice the seat was and how surprisingly kind her new boss, Neil, seemed to be.
Despite his leadership position, he wasn't arrogant at all. In fact, he'd even worried that she might get bored and told her she could watch TV.
So far, he was the nicest person she'd met since leaving the army.
Sharon felt genuinely happy and made a silent vow to protect her boss well and live up to the high salary he paid her. Just as she was lost in this resolve, a loud bang erupted from the direction of the bathroom.
She jumped to her feet with the alertness of a soldier in battle, eyes sharp, and without a moment's hesitation, she rushed toward the noise.
The boss might be in danger!
The loud noise, in fact, came from Neil.
