The last Marauder standing, seeing the fate of his comrades, made a desperate dash for the door. He never made it.
A helper stopped the fleeing man by sticking out its arm. The man ran right into it without a way to avoid it.
The Marauder's feet left the ground as he flipped backward, landing hard on his back and losing his breath.
The fight made a lot of noise. Sebastian wouldn't have liked it, but it wasn't like the helpers could silently kill ten people at the same time without making a sound.
Sebastian didn't have the assassins' Tier-1 and Tier-2 skills, so that wasn't possible.
In less than a minute, all ten Marauders lay dead, which was Sebastian's goal from the beginning. The helpers gave a quick look around the room, ensuring no threats, like hidden enemies, remained. Not that it would have made a difference. Though it would have delayed them.
With the danger neutralized and the ten Marauders dead, the helpers moved to the next phase of their mission.
