Chapter - 21.2
"What are you doing here?" Alex asked his sister, who stood in front of him red-faced and out of breathe.
"Abbie... I can't find... find her," Nicole told Alex.
Abbie was Nicole's cat. While Alex's Kneazle was named Erebus, Nicole's tabby cat was called Abbie.
Initially, Nicole wanted to name her cat McGy, but Alex rejected it then and there. He felt it would be taking things too far between Nicole and Professor McGonagall. Currently, the bickering between them was still somewhat amusing. No need to disturb that equilibrium.
"What about that other cat? Hermione's one?" Alex asked.
"We have her. That is what got me worried," Nicole shook her head, "I haven't seen her since last night." Nicole started to get teary-eyed.
"No need to worry. It should be somewhere on the school grounds," Gemma suddenly spoke up after staying silent on the sides, "It's not very easy to leave the school grounds."
"Sniff! Sniff! Why are you here?" Nicole had already noticed Gemma but chose not to acknowledge her presence. But now that she spoke up, Nicole had to ask.
"Umm... I..." Gemma shuttered as she did not expect such directness from Nicole. Hesitant, her eyes looked for Alex.
"Mind your tone," Alex said and turned towards Gemma, "I am sorry, but I need to go now." And with that, Alex pulled Nicole away with him.
"Okay..." As she watched the siblings leave the library, Gemma mumbled to herself.

"What's with you... taking her side," Nicole looked at her brother suspiciously and asked, "Tell me the truth... Is there something going on between you two?"
"How is it that your brain can never go past such simple thoughts?" Alex asked.
"Oh... I am sorry for being dumb," Nicole acted humble and said.
"If that's the case," Alex nodded, taking Nicole on her words to Nicole's annoyance and continued, "How many places have you searched?" Alex asked.
"Pretty much everywhere in the Gryffindor dormitories," Nicole twisted her lips and replied.
"There is still a lot to search then," Alex said, "It will be hard with just the two of us."
"I have that covered," Nicole said as she winked at Alex and dashed ahead of him.

"What is he doing here?" Alex and Nicole had just reached the stairs when they heard Ron. In front of them, Hermione stood along with Potter and Hermione, possibly waiting for them.
"He is my brother, so of course, he would be here," Nicole made faces, "But I don't remember asking you for help."
"She asked us to come," Ron said, pointing at Hermione.
"Me?" Hermione looked shocked, "You said you wanted to help since you had nothing better to do."
"I have nothing to do? I am such a busy person that..."
"Oh... Don't make me open my mouth... Busy my foot..."
"Who asked for your opinion, midget?"
"Midget? Waahh... You must really be something... You are hardly an inch taller than me... Why don't you stand beside my brother? We will know... Hehehe..."
While the three bickered, Potter and Alex stood on the sidelines, unaffected. Potter had Ron take the vanguard, while Alex hardly cared.
"Why don't we look for the cat first?" Potter finally spoke up.
"Huh... That's what I want," Nicole turned her face away from Ron and scoffed.
"I just want to get done with it," Ron also turned his face away.
"We have an agreement then," Alex said.
"Brother, don't you know some magic to find her?" Nicole looked at her brother. For Nicole, her brother was omnipotent in her eyes. She thought maybe he knew some tracking spell or something.
"We need magical signatures in the object we are tracking," Alex started explaining, "But Abbie is just a cat, a normal cat..."
"Excuses..." Ron taunted when he heard Alex. But Alex chose to ignore it.
"So we have to run around searching that pussy?" Nicole whined, "She better pray that I don't get my hands on her, else, I will pound her silly..."
"Eehh..." Everyone looked at the weird expression Nicole had on her face but chose not to say anything.
"Then first, we need to divide..." Alex started explaining to everyone their roles, but how could Ron let him take the lead?
"Woah... Woah... Hold your horses, dude... Who made you the boss? Why are you ordering us around?" Ron tried to brush off Alex. From the looks of it, Ron was waiting for Alex to open his mouth so he could go against him, "I ain't doing shit if you ask me."
And that was it. Alex has had enough of the bastard. Just as Ron finished, Alex moved, and he was pretty fast for the likes of Ron. And before Ron could dodge the attack, Alex grabbed Ron by his face and pushed him into the wall beside the stairs.
"If you, or your master want to, can run the whole thing, but... Speak to me in this tone again and will slit that dancing tongue of yours and shove it up your ass," Alex said, looking straight into Ron's eyes as he slowly lift Ron up the floor, grabbing him by the skull.
Ron looked at Alex from the gap between the fingers, and he could feel his knees go weak. He was already standing on his toes, and the only reason he was not collapsed on the ground was that Alex held him.
"Am I clear enough?" Alex asked.
But for Ron, it was more of a threat than a question. He impulsively wanted to nod his head in understanding, but Potter spoke up first.
"It's enough... Let him go, Alex," Potter said.
"I don't like your tone as well," Alex turned his face towards Potter and said, "I feel like you are ordering me. And you see... that's troublesome."
"Ummm..." Looking at those dead eyes, even Potter felt a bit intimidated, "You... You are hurting him... So, just let go of him." Potter said, trying to keep up the front at least.
Hearing Potter, Alex snickered, "Are you sure?" Alex asked.
"Yes, I am..." Potter said, but he missed the desperate effort of Ron, trying to shake his head.
"If you say so," Alex shrugged and pulled away his hand. But just as he did.
"BAAM!" Ron tried his best, but his legs did not cooperate.
"Ron! Are you okay?" Harry dashed towards Ron and held him in his arms. he looked at him in concern and gently shook him, only to get muffled groans.
"God... Get a room, will you," Nicole said as she covered her eyes with her hands and walked away from there.
"I guess they won't be of much help," Alex shook his head and followed behind his sister. Now only Hermione was left. She looked at Ron and Harry with hesitation before she finally decided to follow Alex.

"Now what?" Nicole looked at Alex and Hermione for suggestions.
"Give me a second," Alex said as he left the two of them and moved to the corner. He then pulled out the map Professor Snape gave him and opened it. It was just a thought, but if he could spot people, could he do the same for pets if they had a name?
"Abbie..." Alex whispered softly. After that, he waited for a few seconds as various names appeared on the map, one after the other. Alex went through them swiftly until one caught his eye... It had no surname, and the footprints were a little different... more like paws.
'So it's possible...' Alex had the urge to search for Erebus, but he decided to do it later. Alex then walked back towards the two girls.
"I think I know where your cat is," Alex said, "Let's go..."

"Is she for real?" Nicole looked shocked at the sight in front of her. She followed Alex, and they soon found themselves in front of the potions classroom. Abbie, her cat, was basking in the sun as she cuddled with the notorious Mrs Norris.
And they were not alone. There was another notorious being in the corridor, Professor Snape.
Professor Snape sat on a rocking chair, reading a book and enjoying the warm rays from the sun through the windows.
"Is this some secret gathering?" Nicole muttered loud enough for Alex and Hermione to hear. And just as she opened her mouth, professor Snape turned his gaze towards them.
"What are you all doing here?" Professor Snape asked, and that made Nicole flinch. Since the time she argued with Snape, Nicole had tried her best to maintain her distance from him. And it was not entirely because of Alex. She did seem a little bit intimidated by the Professor.
"Professor, it's that cat with Mrs Norris... It's my sister's," Alex said, gesturing towards the two cat.
And the two cats seem to have heard Alex. Abbie looked up, and as soon as she saw Nicole, the little pussy ran towards her and jumped into Nicole's bosom. Mrs Norris, on the other hand, catwalked slowly and gracefully towards Alex.
"If you are done, leave," Professor Snape said, unconcerned of the situation, "And Ashbridge... Follow me." Professor Snape closed his book and stood up to leave.
"You go..." Alex told Nicole to leave and followed behind the Professor.
After that, Alex and Professor Snape discussed something for some time, but no one knows what they talked about...
