Chapter 193 - Chapter 193: Back Through Time

Weird, I actually saw that. I guess the broadcast is figuring out what's going on.

"Okay, so, let me get this straight…"

Jalad was sitting in front of us with an annoyed face. It was in his office and Dallel was standing there too.

"Asura now knows, and there are now two of you."

I nodded.

"Pretty much."

Past me spoke.

"It's as weird for me as it is for you guys."

Dallel sighed.

"I need a drink."

I smiled.

"I could definitely use one."

Shorter Dallel was adorable. I mean, he was still tall, but nowhere near as tall as he is as an altmer. He seemed to notice my look at him and flushed. Adorable.

Jalad smiled.

"Well, we certainly know it's Rose now."

We both glared at him.

Then we went to the Guild Hall.

_

"Oh boy. Ain't this nostalgic."

"Am I not part of the guild in the future?"

"No, we are, it… looks a lot different now though."

I walked in and saw Silas, Alzath right now, managing the counter.

"Hello."

Mammon walked out of his office, then saw two Roses.

He blinked.

"Do I even want to know."

Past me did a dramatic gesture.

"Me from… how far?"

"3 years."

"3 years in the future."

Mammon looked shocked.

I blinked.

"Oh right, you all aren't as used to my shenanigans at this point."

"What response were ye expecting?"

"I was expecting you to sigh, then say something like 'typical Rose.'"

"Yo, barkeep, you okay."

I turned and saw Silas shivering as he looked at me.

"What's wrong?"

"Rose… this is actually you?"

"Yep, she knew something only I or one of my siblings would know."

"O-okay, because… uh…"

"Spit it out."

He gulped at my order.

"Rose, our Rose, you and Asura don't even make a droplet compared to the hurricane she is releasing."

Then I flinched.

"Right, my aura. Sorry."

Then I sealed it.

"Sorry, I'm much more used to beings that can hold up to it."

"Now it's absent."

A spirit mage next to me nodded while shaking.

"You're far too powerful to be Rose."

"Nah, I just got way stronger."

Then both snapped to fight me at once. Both out of pure fear of my strength that they only felt a taste of.

{I suggest you stop.}

Both froze midair.

{Sit down, and do not attack me.}

Then they sat down. Everyone looked at me with shock. My voice was far stronger.

{I am Rose Hood. I have not lied.}

Then my voice turned back to normal.

"Anyways, I'm thirsty…"

I checked my pockets.

"Man, my wallet fell outta my pockets… when did that happen?"

I smiled at my past self who had a look of confusion.

"Heyyyyy… could you spare enough for a wine."

Mammon sighed.

"It's Rose alright."

"Why is that where everyone starts believing me?!"

Everyone started laughing.

_

"So, what exactly happens in the future?"

Me, Dallel, and future me were having a drink.

Asura got one and left.

"Well… I'm not sure how much to tell you."

"Why?"

"Because I don't remember this, I'd assume it will revert back to normal when I return, but as it sits, I don't know and I don't want to cause you trauma even if it does go back."

"So…"

"So, just ask me questions."

"How are you that strong?"

The Barkeep yelled from the bar.

Future me smiled.

"A bit of training. A bit of battling. And just a touch of me getting ticked off."

"Okay, I have a better question, future me."

"Shoot."

"Why do you keep looking at Dallel and making a face like someone looking at a newborn."

"Because shorter Dallel is adorable."

… wow. She flat out said it. I thought she'd bounce around something like that.

"Shorter?"

"Oh yeah, you become an Altmer in the future. So, you are a bit taller."

Dallel blinked.

"I… became an Altmer… aren't they incredibly rare."

"Yep."

"How did I-"

"That I don't think I can explain."

"Ah… Can I beat you in a fight?"

Future me snorted. Then giggled. Then full out laughed.

"Yeah, no, you are quite powerful, but no, you cannot best me. If we fight together it's a slight bit more comparable, but against, heck no."

"Why is there a distinction?"

"Now, that's a good question, Dallel developed a skill, mid-battle, that basically gives him a massive boost depending on his bond with the person of a certain type that he's fighting alongside."

"That does sound useful."

I had a question.

"How big a boost?"

"When fighting alongside me, at least, his power increases ten-fold, while mine is doubled."

We all coughed and looked at her.

The Barkeep stuttered.

"T-that overwhelming presence… is doubled?"

"More than that. That was my passive aura."

Then I had a question that I found incredibly important.

"Did we beat the godly Whilder?"

She looked at me, then she seemed to be trying to remember.

"Hm… Oh right. The Whilder King, yeah we crushed him. Of course, it was a fierce battle."

"I expected as much, a godly is no joke."

"…"

"What?"

"The Whilder died in the first 5 minutes of the fight, no it was hard because every shard of the evil god was having a showoff in Selethon's front lawn."

"… heh?!"

Mammon and I were shocked. A few others reacted similarly, but most were confused.

"Is that what caused the massive change to the guild hall that you mentioned?"

"Oh no, that came over a year later."

Then Thalia came in.

"What happened a year later?"

Then she stopped.

"Why… are there two of them?"

"I'm from the future,"

"Cool."

Thalia, you accepted that way too quickly.

"What's that look for, Rose? I know you, you'd absolutely do something like this."

"Then again, it wasn't exactly my choice."

"Really?"

We all turned to future me.

"Yeah, I was midbattle with a powerful being when he sent me back."

"Oh, so you are trying to find your way back?"

"Yeah, but it's kind of harder. This world is nowhere near as stable as it is in the future, if I do too much it may just crumble, and leveling it to the point where I could act would be a death sentence for you all."

We blinked.

"What?"

"What?"

"Okay, I understand crumbling worlds due to absolute power, but why would leveling it be a death sentence."

"Hmm, well, if I were to level it to the state that I could do enough to send me back without it crumbling, godlies would be as common as rares or even uncommons."

We shivered at the mere thought of that.

She seemed to be lost in thought.

"I need a way to gain power, while simultaneously bringing me back to 192, maybe if I get a massive energy source I could grab the broadcast and pull myself there."

The heck kind of stuff was I saying!

"Oh, I was talking out loud."

"Yes, and it was very confusing."

Dallel nodded.

"Indeed, like, what the heck is 192."

"As far as I can tell it's like a marked point in time."

"Why?"

"Because Asura's duel with the Arcane dragon was called 24, and I just came from 192."

"I see…"

I thought for a moment.

"Like a book."

"Kinda."

"Well, maybe we could help you."

"Maybe."

Future me smiled.
