Hailey got back to her office and waiting for her inside was Gabrielle, on her chair. Hailey immediately frowned. " Out of my chair traitor. I can't believe you are going on the expedition with my boyfriend. I am so pissed off about that."
Gabrielle raised her arms in surrender. "Whoa! Easy Hailey, It's not my fault I have connections. I took advantage. You know with me by his side, you know he will be safer."
"Thats not the point. You are my guardian, you are supposed to be at my side and-"
"Oh hush, you keep on going on about me being in your way. You are just jealous I get to fight with Apollo and you haven't yet."
Hailey turned icy. Not wanting to deal with banter at this moment, she already had to do something degrading in a moment, she wasn't in the mood. "Out of my chair, I need to make a call."
Gabrielle immediately stood up. She could read the cracks in the ice and knew when Hailey was tense or was just in her resting bitch face.
