Rebirth: Reborn as the Third Master of the Woo Family
By Zorry Sunblaze
Episode Title: ICU
School began the following week. This time, Tae let me crossdress. My baby bump wasn't too obvious, but if you looked closely, you'd notice it. Can you believe how fast time flew? I was already in my seventh month, though my belly wasn't crazily huge—just gently swollen.
I was curled up on Tae's lap in our usual position when Han In walked in and sat beside us. I didn't even glance at him. I was too busy being a spoiled brat in my boyfriend's arms.
"Hi, Taeyang," Han said, blushing. Ugh, he's so fake. He copies every hair color I've ever had. He just can't grow his hair long, but he tries everything I do. Isn't that exhausting?
Honestly, if not for the Woo family, my mother is the most powerful woman in Seoul. And as for my so-called "father"? He colluded with his mistress to poison her—thinking she had left her wealth to him. But when he found out everything was in my name, they did everything possible to eliminate me. And they succeeded.
But now I'm back. Reborn. And I'll make them pay.
All this time I'd been preoccupied with Sulin, Kim Woo's birth mother. But now, it was time to turn my attention to my real enemies—my first family. They would suffer.
Han tried to touch Tae's hand, but before I even processed it, I slapped his hand away like a bolt of lightning. The whole class froze. Han and I locked eyes in a silent war before he turned and left.
During lunch break, Tae went to get something for me. My phone rang—it was Shinwoo.
"Yes? I'm at school," I answered.
"Can you tell Hyung to meet me at the lobby? He's not picking up," Shinwoo said.
I nodded and started heading downstairs. Then the phone rang again. It was still Shinwoo.
"Kim, I'm sorry. I hope you haven't left class yet," he said.
"I'm on the stairs," I replied, turning to face downward.
That's when it happened.
Someone pushed me.
I tumbled down, landing on my belly. The pain ripped through me like knives. Tears blurred my vision. I saw red—so much blood.
"Kim? Kim?!" Shinwoo's voice echoed through the phone, but I couldn't answer.
I was in shock. My body numb. My belly... was bleeding. The phone slipped from my hand as I drifted into unconsciousness.

Taeyang's POV
I came back to class with tofu stew—Kim had been craving it all morning. But he wasn't in class.
"I saw him leave after getting a phone call. I think he went downstairs," a classmate said.
A strange dread settled in my chest as I rushed toward the stairs. That's when I saw it.
Blood.
My legs froze. My breath stopped. My brain couldn't process anything.
"Kim!" Hyung and Shinwoo screamed from behind me, racing down the hall.
I was in a trance. I don't know how, but suddenly I was at the hospital. Covered in blood that wasn't mine.
Hours passed. Then I shot upright and screamed, "Kim!" My voice cracked as I looked around, panicked.
"Where is my boyfriend?!" I demanded.
Hyung placed a firm hand on my shoulder. He was stained in blood too. "He's in the ICU. They're preparing for emergency surgery."
"Who did this to him?! Hyung, tell me!"
"We're investigating—" Hyung's phone rang, cutting him off.
He answered, then hissed, "That bitch." His grip on the phone tightened until his knuckles turned white.
"Did they find the culprit?" Shinwoo asked.
"It was that bastard Han In," Hyung growled through clenched teeth.
"I should've known," I whispered. My voice shook. My heart burned.
"My mom already had him arrested," Hyung added.
Just then, the doctor came out.
"Doctor! How is he?" I rushed over.
"We can't say anything for sure yet," the doctor said. "But we saved the baby. It's in the incubator."
He left before I could say another word.
Shinwoo placed a hand on my shoulder, gently.
"Do you want to see the baby?"
I nodded. But all I could think of was Kim.
We entered the incubator room after verifying the baby tag. I didn't even check the numbers—I just walked straight to the child that looked like Kim.
Brown hair. Soft, plump lips. A tiny, sharp nose.
She was asleep. Peaceful. Untouched by the cruelty of the world.
"It's a girl," I whispered. A sad smile crossed my lips.
"She looks just like him," Hyung said quietly. "A mini Kim."
I touched the glass and let my tears fall, brushing them away with my fingers.
"I wish your daddy was here with us right now…" I murmured.
"He will be. He'll pull through," Hyung said with quiet certainty.
We left the room and returned to the waiting area where the whole Woo family had gathered.
Jiang was broken. She loved Kim like her own soul—and now, seeing her baby like this… it shattered her.
