My head snapped to face Tae (태). "I... I can explain," Tae (태) said, his voice hesitant, as I gave him the 'explain yourself' look.
"Since you were in a coma, he refused to leave you," Yoona (윤아) spoke from where she was seated, her voice oddly devoid of its usual sharpness. "He was with you all day long. He fasted for your recovery and refused to sleep, fearing I might do something to you."
Tears welled up in my eyes, blurring my vision. He really went through all this for me, a raw, overwhelming tenderness filling my chest.
"Hey, don't cry," Tae (태) murmured, pulling me into a gentle hug.
"I'm sorry about that," I whispered, my voice thick with emotion.
"C'mon... your recovery is more important now," Tae (태) said softly.
"No. You go now. If something happens to you, what do you think I would do? I will feel guilty because you refused to take care of yourself and something happened to you," I insisted, my voice firm despite my tears. He couldn't argue with me. He gave in and used the bathroom, even taking my clothes with him. But I found it surprisingly cute. He emerged, Yohan (요한) in a pink baggy knitted top and black baggy jogger pants. I was enjoying the sight before me when...
"Hey! I said I would order clothes for you!" Yoona (윤아) yelled, startling me from my reverie.
"I was waiting for you, but then I saw this and wore it," Yohan (요한) replied calmly.
"Kim doesn't like others wearing his clothes," Yoona (윤아) smirked, trying to stir up trouble. Well, she was right, but for Tae (태), I really didn't mind.
"Tae (태) can do whatever he wants with my things. I don't really mind," I said, my eyes lingering on his perfect body. Ahhh, so hot.
"Bu—" Yoona (윤아) tried to protest, but I cut her off.
"Enough. I don't have a problem with it, so..." I trailed off, giving her a look that silenced her. She angrily stormed out, banging the door behind her.
"You should have something to eat," I said, taking his hand and rubbing it gently.
"I'll call the reception and order something for both of us," he said, and went to order.
After Lunch
"My love, thank God!" Jiang (지앙) exclaimed as she rushed in and hugged me tightly.
"Mom," I said, returning her embrace.
"I had Yoona (윤아) go back to London for punishment," she declared, her tone stern.
"Mom, I don't want that," I explained, pulling back slightly. "She made a mistake for love, and she needs to be corrected, not punished in the hands of military discipline."
"Okay, fine... whatever you want," she conceded, kissing my hair. "Oh, and thank you for taking good care of my son," she said to Tae (태), who was sitting at the other side of the bed, holding my free hand.
"It's somehow my duty, Mrs. Woo. And I really can't see someone I care about in the condition that he was in and do nothing," he said, his gaze gentle on me.
"So you care about my son, huh?" she asked, a knowing smile playing on her lips.
"Yes, Mrs. Woo. I care about him and his safety," he affirmed.
"Well, I think I can give you a chance, but only if the person we are talking about has no problem," she said, turning her full attention to me. Oh wow. Does she have to catch me off guard?! Now I was blushing furiously.
"Well, I think I do like him, Mom," I said in a tiny voice, barely audible.
She chuckled softly and caressed my cheek. "My love, you should know that I will always support you no matter how wrong or right you are," she said, her words a soothing balm.
"Can't you keep yourself from trouble, you boy?" Hyun (현) almost yelled from the doorway, entering the room.
"Hey, Bro," I said, flashing him my widest smile. He gave me a brief hug and took a seat facing me. I saw his facial expression change, a flicker of something unreadable, but I didn't get the hell with it, so I brushed it off.
"So, who did you get the flowers for?" I teased, noticing the beautiful bouquet in his hand.
"Well, I went to see him, but then I overheard him confess his love to another person, so now I will give you the flowers," he said, his voice tinged with disappointment. He handed me the white lilies and pink roses.
"Wow, Brother Hyun (현), it's beautiful! But the person would be a fool not to accept your proposal. As for me, I would advise you to meet him and tell him... Maybe he will give you a chance... What if the other person didn't accept him?" I suggested.
"Well, you're right. So after you recover, will you help me with it?" he asked, his eyes brightening. Of course, I would! Why wouldn't I want to help my brother?
"C'mon, Hyung (형), hell yeah, I'm going with you!" I said, sitting up eagerly.
"Then it's settled. So when are you going to be discharged from the hospital?" he asked.
"Now! Mom, I want to be able to go home now!" I insisted.
"Fine," Jiang (지앙) said, and left to arrange it.
"So, Hyung (형), how about you tell me about this crush of yours, so I'll know how to make a move?" I said.
"Well, he's hot-tempered, loving and cute, kind, somehow introverted," he said, describing his mystery man. I paused for a while, then I looked at him.
"We have almost the same behavior... well, we'll get along very well!" I said, and giggled, feeling a strange sense of camaraderie.
"Okay, it's time to go home!" Jiang (지앙) said as she re-entered.
At Home
Tae (태) made sure I reached home safely before he went home.
"So, Bro, shall we?" I asked Hyung (형), who was dressed so fabulously. His hair was finely made, and he wore an all-black leather jacket and pants with a white top. He was looking incredibly charming.
"Sure," he said, checking me out over and over.
"Are you having a second thought about going with me? Ha, don't worry, I won't steal your babe," I joked, a playful smirk on my face.
"Oh, hell. You look extremely cute that I'm jealous," he joked back, a genuine smile gracing his lips. I was dressed in my normal baggy blue pants and a woven baggy polo. My long hair was made in a scattered bun, and my pink lips. I used a butterfly hair clip to clip my hair, and I was ready. Oh, wait, my black sneakers, then yeah, ready to go!
At a Very Romantic Place
It seemed like a place near a lake, with fireflies everywhere, and the atmosphere was also romantic. It was decorated with a romantic touch.
"Wow, I'm jealous of your arrangement," I said, admiring the setup.
"Well, enjoy before the person gets here," he said, and Wuhu! I began to explore the place, dragging him along. Suddenly, his phone rang, and then he dragged me back to the table and made me sit.
"Hey, it's only two seats, and I hope you're not planning on telling me to stand," I asked, looking at him playfully.
"C'mon, just shut up and see," he said, pointing to the sky, and we witnessed the breathtaking setting of the sun.
"Wow, it looks amazing!" I exclaimed, truly captivated.
"Yes, it looks so beautiful," he said in a low and pleasing voice. Huh, what's up with him? But anyways, I enjoyed it. It was getting creepy now; I could feel someone was staring at me.
"Hey," I slapped his arm playfully. He chuckled.
"Scared? Don't worry, I will try my best not to eat you," he said, but I laughed it off.
"Funny. You didn't tell me you were a zombie," I joked.
"Come, I want to show you another thing," he said, and we both headed to a small candy shop he had prepared for the date.
"Why isn't your date here? He isn't enjoying the fun," I asked, puzzled.
"Well, he is in the shop... that's why I'm taking you there," he said. Oh, now I understood... he hid his date in the candy shop. Hahahaha, so funny! We reached and entered, but it was empty, though many candies were everywhere. But then someone hugged me from behind.
"Hey, Hyung, what are—" my words were forced to be swallowed as he turned me around and claimed my lips. At first, I was surprised and didn't respond to his kiss, but he bit my lips, and I gave in, my mouth parting under the sudden pressure. He kissed me softly and tenderly, then he withdrew and hugged me.
"I love you, bunny," he said. Bunny, it was a name he used to call me when we were kids, and now he was calling me bunny. He can't be serious about this, right?
"Hyung?" I asked, pulling back slightly to look at him.
"Yes, Kim, I love you... I wanted to tell you, but I was scared," he said, not letting me go. I hugged him back and kissed his head, my mind racing.
"I love you too, but as my brother... I know you know that I love Tae (태), but I will let this slide and pretend nothing happened," I said, trying to be gentle but firm.
"But Kim, I loved you right from childhood," he pleaded, his voice thick with emotion.
"Hyung (형), you are my brother," I reasoned, trying to make him understand.
"Even so, Kim, I don't mind," he said, then kissed my neck. That was a very sensitive place, and a sharp gasp escaped my lips, a mix of shock and discomfort.
"Hyung," I managed, my voice strained.
"Just give me a chance," he sounded pleading, desperate.
"I'm sorry," I said, then I pulled away and left, my heart pounding, leaving him standing there amidst the romantic lights.
