"Hey Ethan who's that person with you?Where did he come from? I could've sworn that you five came in by yourselves." A man voices addressed the man with the spear who was apparently called Ethan.
Ren looked to the left and observed a large group of youths almost the same size as the group that arrived Ren had brought to the vampire mansion.A thought entered Rens mind.
"Did your group arrive here for your coming of age rites?" Ren asked the woman with the daggers.
"My name is Alicia and yes our coming of age rites consists of getting rid of the vampire count within that ancient mansion." Alicia said before wondering if Ren really did come from her city but from 700 years ago.
Ethan proceeded to explain to the rest of the group about Rens origins.They all gave Ren strange looks here and there during the explanation.
"Hold on a second if this guys a gifted then why didn't we learn about him in our education.There should be records of him somewhere but there aren't any.How come?" A thin man said as he stared at Ren in suspicion.
"Care to explain Ren." Ethan felt that the thin man asked a good question.
"Well thing is I never told anyone about my ability not even my own friends and parents.Also my given name when I was born into this world is Archie,Ren is my original name before I came to this world." Ren explained himself as he still felt guilty about not telling anyone in his past life.He decided to be honest this time around.
"Hold on...are you the guy who invented weapon coating magic spells?" A woman with a greatsword asked in excitement.
"Yes I'm the one who invented the weapon flame coating,weapon frost coating and weapon flame arc spells." Rens words caused surprised murmers to spread in the group.
"Are you f*cking serious?"
"What's the deal.Aren't those spells commonly used.There are way more powerful spells that can be used in our city."
"Of course their commonly used.This guy pioneered the way for melee type mages.His work has been improved upon countless times in order to allow mages to have fighting options in close combat."
Ren felt embarrassed,touched and proud all at once hearing what they were saying.To hear that mages had used his original spells as a source of inspiration and innovation made him feel good.He had to admit that he was curious as to what kind of spells were created with his original spells in mind.
"We'll bring him back to the city and see what the elder noble mages have in mind for him." Ethan said as everyone agreed.
The group of 26 then headed out the ancient city ruins without any trouble.As they were walking through the woods the group stopped.Ren didn't understand until 3 seconds later.The sound of giggling could be heard from the surrounding woods.
"It seems the gods spawned in some goblins its time to fight." Ethan who appeared to be the leader of the group entered a stance.
Green goblins from fantasy stories ran out from their cover.Their skin was bright green with pointy ears and noses.They wore fur clothing and wielded stone weaponry.
Their attention appeared to be set on Ren who didn't know why the goblins were paying attention to him.It was as I'd they were spawned solely to deal with him.
If it was Ren from the past these goblins would be child's play but in his current nerfed state even with the thorn dagger these goblins would be troublesome opponents.
There were also some bigger specimens of the goblins.These goblins were the size of adult men and were simultaneously muscular and fat.They wore fur clothing but wielded large clubs of bone.Ren felt only danger from what he assumed to be hobgoblins.
The group immediately sprang into action.Ren in his current state couldn't follow their movements and he knew that he would only be a hindrance if he joined in the fight.
In just a second the battle was already over that was how fast and strong Rens human companions were.He felt that they were stronger then his original companions but he didn't know the reason for that.Perhaps their training was more advanced then in the past or they had access to better equipment and spells.
The group collected the loot and moved on through the forest.They encountered two more groups of spawned in entities until they reached their destination.
"Why did we encounter so many goblins on the way back"
"We're long overdue for a entity swarm so it makes sense."
The group didn't attribute the increased spawn rate of goblins to Ren which he felt grateful for.In the eyes of the group Ren was too weak to attract the interest of the gods.
Ren then noticed the city which was far larger then the village he remembered.There were also many more advanced buildings and other features that weren't there in the past.
