The Elder considered the situation for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, you go ahead and teach him. If it doesn't work, or there are issues, call for me and I will ensure that his progress doesn't stall."
"You are taking a personal interest in his progress, Elder?" One of the other Monks, who had been doing inscription work asked.
There was a whole stack of single use scrolls and talismans next to him, so he had been busy for some time, and the note of envy was clear in his voice.
The Elder nodded. "The Sect Leader has insisted that we look after him well. His power level is immense, and she sees a possibility that his advancement will benefit the Clan as a whole."
The Monk looked skeptical, but he had no way to know of all the commotion that had been going on within the Clan.
Even the Elders had only paid cursory attention to most of what was told to them. The Immortals who were in training hadn't even realized that anything had changed.
