Xiaobai became anxious, its body frozen stiff, awkwardly twisting itself into a spiraling shape – quite enchantingly so.
Ruan Jiaojiao saw the icicles on Xiaobai shedding noisily and felt so worried about it feeling cold that she urged, "Xiaobai, go to sleep. Only come out when you're warm. Don't come out again this year. We're going back to Beidu for the New Year's celebration, and we will return after the holiday."
Upon hearing that they were only going to Beidu for the New Year and not thinking of returning it, Xiaobai felt relieved. It wanted to nuzzle Ruan Jiaojiao's little head with its big one, but, remembering its own icy body and the Demon lurking with greedy eyes, it discarded the thought and slipped out of the window.
