The beloved woman was actually poisoned, and by his legitimate wife at that—Tao Chengyin was both unable to accept it and hated Mrs. Cao so much his teeth gnashed: "That venomous woman!"
Taoming Ye had long guessed things would turn out this way and wasn't surprised by the Minister of Justice's words. He was just pleased to see his father, Tao Chengyin, recognizing Mrs. Cao's true face in his heart.
For so long, wasn't he just waiting for this day?
The Minister of Justice continued, "This time, Mrs. Cao poisoned so fiercely, intent on killing the Princess and the Prince Consort. According to the confessions of Manjuan and Manhe, Mrs. Cao wanted revenge for her son, Taoming Hai."
"This is outrageous!" Su Muchen was enraged. "Taoming Hai was beheaded for attempting to murder the Princess—he got what he deserved! What is she avenging?"
An Jing said, "Such malice, unworthy of a human being."
