Chapter 7 - CHAPTER SEVEN – The Hunt Begins

‎Mira

‎Training started like any other session, warm-ups, partner drills, the usual dominance games between wolves. But the moment Selena stepped into the ring and asked for Damon, the air shifted.

‎My stomach tightened.

‎Zara muttered, "She's doing this for you."

‎Sahara added quietly, "And she's underestimating us."

‎I didn't answer. My eyes were locked on Damon as he stepped into the ring.

‎Selena's first strike was lightning-fast, but Damon blocked it like he'd been expecting it. They moved around each other in a dangerous rhythm, the crowd hanging on every blow. But even in the fight, I saw it—the way Selena kept glancing at me.

‎Her smirk faltered once, just barely. That was when I realized she could feel it. The pull between Damon and me.

‎And she hated it.

‎Her attacks grew sharper, wilder. Damon kept his cool, but the tension between them turned from a spar to something darker. She swung, he blocked, they clashed, power slamming into power until my skin prickled.

‎Then her eyes locked on me, and something snapped.

‎Her aura exploded outward. Bones cracked. Her wolf form began to push through not fully shifted, but close enough for her claws and teeth to show. The crowd gasped.

‎She didn't go for Damon. She went for me.

‎Everything happened at once. Zara moved first, claws flashing, her aura suddenly stronger unnaturally strong. Aiden was across the ring, but I felt it too: a strange, pulsing energy linking them. She was channeling his strength somehow, and it made her a wall between me and Selena.

‎Sahara, usually the quiet one, dropped her act completely. Her power surged, raw and overwhelming, making even the watching alphas take a step back. She hit Selena with a force that sent her skidding across the dirt.

‎Selena recovered fast, eyes blazing. She lunged again—only to be met by Zara and Sahara together. They moved like they'd trained for this exact fight, claws and power tearing through Selena's overconfidence.

‎Within moments, it was over. Selena was on the ground, chest heaving, fury in her eyes. She'd lost.

‎(Damon – POV)

‎The moment Selena turned toward Mira, I was already moving. But her friends… they surprised me. The strength they showed wasn't normal not for wolves of their standing.

‎And when Aiden didn't interfere but stood watching Zara with that unreadable expression…... I began to question their relationship something is definitely going on

‎As soon as Selena hit the ground, I was at Mira's side, pulling her away.

‎"You're coming with me," I said, voice low.

‎We didn't stop until we were out of sight of the training field, in the shadowed hallway behind the gym. Her pulse was still racing; I could feel it where my hand gripped her wrist.

‎I didn't think. I just pulled her in.

‎The kiss was hard, desperate, the kind that burned and fed the craving all at once. Her fingers tangled in my shirt, pulling me closer. My wolf roared at the contact, wanting more wanting everything , I couldn't hold it any longer I held her neck and bit into it and my wolf roared even louder before she whispered shivering "st.... stop".

‎When we finally broke apart, both of us were breathing hard.

‎I looked at her one more time and walked away.

‎She's safe and that's all that matters as for Selena she just ruined her coming future with this move.
