"Tell my father I will be taking the young man who saved me to the academy to repay him for saving my life," Helen said, handing the knight a carefully sealed letter.
"What if he demands your return to see your condition?" the knight asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Just hand him the letter. Everything he needs to know is in there. Now go," she said with a dismissive wave.
The knight cast a suspicious side glance at the young man sitting beside her, his head hung low in what appeared to be humble deference. Something about this whole situation didn't sit right, and he couldn't shake that nagging feeling.
