"I want a room. Yes, the premium. Just for two days, please. Also, bring food up right away," he said curtly to the receptionist of an extravagant hotel. After the formalities, he accepted the keys handed to him and turned away, a girl trailing silently behind him with a scarf covering the lower half of her face.

The price for just two nights would have shattered the nerves of any average commoner, but he—he had money. Or rather, he had her money. The princess had made sure he had more than enough to splurge.

The girl walking behind him noticed this. Which meant he wasn't a mere commoner. But at this point, nothing truly mattered. Her world had collapsed. Everything that had once been familiar was gone, and now she walked in silence, her mind a hollow void. Nothing stirred her interest—not the lavish decor, not the strange man she had bound herself to, not even the luxury of the hotel. She just kept walking.

Because with her own hands, she had destroyed her life.
