The sky above Onigashima roared with thunder.
Lightning cracked across the black clouds as Kaido, in his massive dragon form, unleashed a deafening roar that shook the island itself.
Below him, Big Mom laughed, her voice booming like a rolling storm. "Mama-mama-mama! This is fun! Two Emperors of the Sea against four little gnats!"
Luffy, bouncing on the broken tiles with his fists covered in Haki, yelled back, "We're not gnats, old hag! We're the ones who'll kick your butts!"
Kid slammed his metal-covered arms together, sparks flying. "Talk less, rubber brain! Let's crush them already!"
Law stood at the back, his sword drawn, eyes sharp. "Don't get ahead of yourselves. One mistake, and we'll all be dead."
And then—BOOM!—a huge blast of wind tore through the battlefield. Everyone turned.
Through the smoke walked Maki. Her long hair was tied back, her body covered in bruises and dust, but her eyes burned with calm determination.
She looked up at the sky, where Kaido and Big Mom floated together, their combined presence so heavy it felt like the air itself was shaking.
Luffy grinned. "Oi! Maki! Where is Yuta. He Isn't coming right!" Luffy asked, knowing that if he came he'll steal the fight.
"Got lost," she said simply, drawing her twin blades.
Kid scoffed. "Tch, more trouble, huh? You planning to jump in too?"
She cracked her knuckles. "Obviously. Those two look like they need a beating."
Big Mom cackled. "Mama-mama-mama! Another little warrior joins the fun! You think your toy swords can scratch me, girl?"
Maki didn't reply. Her eyes narrowed, and faint green light flowed along her blades—her Haki mixed with Ryou.
Kaido, in his human form again, landed beside Big Mom, cracking his neck. "Heh. You've got guts. But guts won't save you."
Then everything exploded into motion.
Luffy charged first, launching himself forward with Gear Fourth!
"Boundman!" he shouted, his arms stretching back before slamming into Kaido's chest with a massive punch. "KONG GUN!"
Kaido blocked it with his club, the impact shaking the ground.
Kid roared and hurled a giant metal fist into Big Mom's face, shouting, "PUNK GIBSON!"
She caught it with one hand, laughing. "Too slow, brat!"
But Law suddenly appeared behind her with a flash of blue light.
"Room. Injection Shot!"
His sword stabbed forward, piercing through Big Mom's shoulder.
"AAARGH! You brat!" she roared, swinging Napoleon at him, but Law teleported away just in time.
Meanwhile, Maki leaped into the air, both swords glowing bright. She slashed at Kaido with fluid precision, every move filled with power and control.
Kaido swung his club to block, but the blades didn't just clash—they sliced through the shockwave of his attack.
Her Ryou cut through his Haki, and Kaido's eyes widened slightly.
"Huh. You've got that flowin' type of Haki, huh? You're no weakling."
"Neither are you," Maki replied coolly, landing a clean kick on his jaw before flipping back.
Luffy laughed, bouncing beside her. "Wow! You hit him harder Nami!"
Maki gave him a quick glare. "Focus."
Kaido transformed back into his dragon form, his massive head rising over the battlefield. "Let's see if you can handle this!" he bellowed, unleashing a storm of lightning and wind.
Maki crossed her blades, her Haki hardening, and slashed upward. The air split—the lightning scattered as her swords cut through it.
Law created a large Room above her, and with a smirk, he called out, "Switch!"
In an instant, Luffy and Maki swapped places mid-air.
Luffy's fist, coated in Haki, smashed into Kaido's face while Maki landed behind Big Mom, striking her armor with both blades. The force was enough to crack part of her armor plate.
Big Mom's grin faltered. "What…?"
"Guess your skin isn't invincible," Maki said, her voice calm but cold.
"YOU LITTLE—!" Big Mom screamed, summoning and Prometheus. Lightning and fire shot toward Maki, but she didn't flinch.
Instead, she took a deep breath, coating both swords in Ryou again. "Flowing Haki—Burst."
She swung.
The air itself exploded forward—two massive arcs of invisible force that sliced through the storm, splitting Big Mom's attack in half. The lightning fizzled, the flames vanished.
Law smirked. "That's some technique."
Luffy cheered, "That was awesome, Maki!"
Kid grumbled, "Don't let her show you up, rubber brain!"
"Like hell I will!"
The fight raged on—Luffy and Kaido clashed blow for blow, both laughing like maniacs. Kid threw massive chunks of metal at Big Mom, who sent them flying back with raw strength. Law darted around, cutting and teleporting, while Maki danced between them, her blades glowing brighter with every swing.
Kaido, panting, grinned. "You're all tough. I like it!"
Big Mom's laughter joined his. "MAMA-MAMA! Then let's end this with a bang!"
Both of them jumped high into the air, Kaido's club and Big Mom's sword charged with energy.
Luffy yelled, "Everyone! Move!"
But Maki didn't move. She stood her ground, eyes focused. The ground cracked beneath her feet as she coated both blades with everything she had—Ryou and full-armament Haki.
"Come!" she shouted.
Kaido's club came down like thunder. Big Mom's sword followed, glowing with fire.
Maki met both weapons with a massive cross slash. The clash created a shockwave so powerful that it split the clouds above Onigashima, exposing the moon.
Everyone was blown back—Luffy, Law, Kid, all hitting the ground hard.
When the dust settled, Maki stood in the center, her swords smoking, her clothes torn. Kaido and Big Mom were pushed back several meters, both looking at her with surprise and rage.
Kaido laughed. "Heh… You're somethin' else, girl."
Big Mom wiped the blood from her lip. "MAMA-MAMA! You've got fire. I'll give you that!"
Luffy staggered up beside her, grinning wide. "Maki, that was awesome!"
She smirked slightly, catching her breath. "Don't get too excited. They're still standing."
Law raised his sword. "Then let's finish this."
Kid cracked his metal fists. "Yeah. Time to break some Emperors."
As the thunder rolled once again, the five warriors stood shoulder to shoulder—Luffy grinning, Maki calm, Law serious, Kid wild.
Kaido and Big Mom towered before them, smiling just as wide.
The real war had begun.
