Chapter 294 - Chapter 294 : Food

After a whole day of chaos, accidents, and near starvation, Yuta finally gave up. Everyone was lying around the Sunny, groaning with empty stomachs. Everyone besides him and Maki, that is. Even Carrot, who was usually full of energy, was slumped against the railing.

Yuta stood up with a sigh. "Alright, alright… before you all actually die, I'll feed you."

"Nani!"

"Nami?"

"PAT!"

"Not me - Hmph..."

"MEAT!"

Suddenly, everyone perked up. Chopper's eyes sparkled. "You have food!?"

"Where were you hiding it?!" Luffy jumped up. Yuta, although willing to share, was wary about this millennium-starved protagonist. He had to be careful or else his entire stock would be burned.

Yuta opened his hand and, from a flash of light, pulled out several large bento boxes, bread, fruits, and some meat. It was like magic. Everyone stared in awe.

"Ye lord! Provider of bread and corn, all spies, flutter of fluff, ye who bears the salvation of us mortal!"

"Okay... okay. Stop. How do you guys even know this spell?" Yuta was gobsmacked. He wondered whether he was really the only dimensional traveller here?

"We finally can eat!" Nami gasped, tears already trailing down her cheeks.

"No, wait, is it a devil fruit power?" Brook asked.

"I bet it's a storage-type power!" Chopper added.

"Actually," Maki muttered to herself, "This feels more like a cursed technique…" Maki muttered only to herself, not saying her thoughts out loud. While Yuta never showed any particular curse technique, he had shown so many different powers that it was almost impossible to figure out what his powers were. No matter how much she thought, she couldn't figure out his Curse Technique.

Only now was she starting to connect the dots—all the powers he used were gathered from different worlds. Of course, he never told her this; she herself figured this out, at least she thinks so.

Whatever it was, nobody cared. The smell of food took over all logic.

Luffy wasted no time. "FOOOOOOD!" he shouted and began stuffing his face like a vacuum cleaner.

"Leave some for us, you rubber glutton!" Nami smacked his head.

Thankfully, the others managed to grab enough before Luffy devoured it all.

"Thanks, Yuta," Pedro said. "You may have saved our lives. Again..."

"I second that," Brook nodded. "And I don't even have a stomach."

But Yuta quickly raised a hand. "This food is limited. I'm giving you rations. Luffy, that means no fourth or fifth helpings."

"WHAAAAT?!" Luffy cried dramatically. "There is no more!"

"Oh there is, just not for you."

"What... why!"

"Because you'll eat everything, you idiot." Nami glared at him.

"No... but I can't live without 6 meals a day. That's torture."

"You want torture? Try eating air," Yuta said flatly.

From that moment on, Yuta became the ship's new food boss. He handed out portions like a strict teacher in a school cafeteria. Luffy tried to sneak extra food, but Maki slapped his hand every time.

As the days passed, the group sailed closer to Totto Land. The sea changed, becoming more colourful and strange. One morning, they saw something massive in the distance—a gigantic watermelon which actually wasn't a watermelon but a fish.

No actually, it was a watermelon but with a mouth which almost swallowed Luffy whole.

Next was a giant snail ship.

"That's a Germa 66 ship," Pedro said, his face serious.

A bridge extended from the snail ship to the Sunny. Two figures walked out: a tall, beautiful woman with blonde hair and a shorter man with green hair and a cold expression.

"Sanji?" Luffy blinked.

"Nope," Carrot shook her head. "Too green."

The woman introduced herself. "I'm Reiju and this is Yonji."

"You have same eyebrows as Sanji." Luffy only noticed that.

"Well, he is our brother."

"Your brother." A wave of surprise flared; they weren't thinking that they would meet Sanji's family this fast.

"Why are you here?" Nami asked.

"We came to tell you not to waste your time," Yonji said with a bored tone. "Sanji's going to marry Big Mom's daughter. It's decided."

Luffy crossed his arms. "We're still going to bring him back."

"Even if he's just a tool to us?" Yonji scoffed. "He's a pawn for Germa's gain."

This immediately drew ire from many of the Straw Hats and others. Yuta, for what it's worth, just stayed silent, already knowing the plot.

Reiju sighed. "I don't agree with them. Sanji has a kind heart. I just wanted to warn you… things in Totto Land are not simple."

Yuta looked at her closely. The only member beside her mom who believed in Sanji. "Thanks for the warning. But we're not turning back."

"Yes, we'll bring back Sanji no matter what." Luffy shouted.

The Germa ship left more or less as it happened in the story, and Sunny sailed forward.

Days later, they finally saw it—Totto Land. More specifically, Chocolate Island.

"Is that... a cookie mountain?" Maki asked, stunned. This world kept on amazing her. She wouldn't lie; she once dreamed of this kind of thing when she was a child. She wished to see it when she had a chance now.

"And the buildings… they're made of chocolate," Yuta smiled, even for him this was much like a dream.

Chopper's mouth dropped open. "I want to live here forever…"

"NOPE," Nami instantly shot them down.

The Sunny docked quietly. The group stepped onto the island, walking on a street paved with candy canes and surrounded by chocolate fountains.

"This place is unbelievable…" Maki whispered.

Pedro nodded. "It looks sweet… but Big Mom's territory is dangerous. Stay alert."

But before he finished speaking, disaster struck.

"Where's Luffy?" Carrot asked.

"And Chopper?" Brook added.

Everyone turned around.

"They're gone," Yuta said, already sighing.

"What! WHEN?"

"When you were looking at the Cookie Mountain."

"Damn it."

Far into the city, Luffy and Chopper were already causing chaos. They were eating buildings, biting into chocolate doors, and licking walls.

"One Piece... I Found It!!" Luffy shouted.

"SO SWEET!!" Chopper cried.

That's when a girl with three eyes and a kind smile appeared, quickly pulling them away before angry townsfolk could catch them.

"Are you trying to get yourselves arrested?" she asked.

Luffy blinked. "Who're you?"

"I'm General Pudding. And you are in deep trouble."

They paused.

"Hmm... we can pay for it?" Chopper asked.

"You mean to pay for an entire building of chocolate?" she raised a brow.

Back on the Sunny, Nami smacked her forehead. "Why do they always run off!?"

Yuta just chuckled. "Don't worry, finding them won't be an issue. Just follow where chaos is the most. What really is the problem is what big of the chaos they've caused…"

Pedro groaned. "It's going to be a long mission."

And so, the real adventure in Big Mom's territory had only just begun.
