The door opened, revealing Shanaela in dark blue silk pajamas, looking at him, "All done?"
Wu Heng closed the door behind him with a flick of his wrist, drawing her into an embrace.
The silk fabric slipped through his palm.
"I knew you weren't asleep." Wu Heng said with a smile.
Shanaela tilted her head up, her fingertip poking at his chest, "It's not even dawn yet, how can that be called staying up late!"
Wu Heng cupped her cheeks and planted a kiss, then scooped her up and headed to the bed.
The curtains swayed gently for a moment.
Shanaela curled up in his arms, her hair messily spread on the pillow.
Her fingertip absentmindedly traced circles on his chest, her voice still carrying a trace of laziness, "The Elder's Council agreed to your terms. Two fifth-tier professionals are already on their way, they should arrive in about three or four days."
