Seeing Mrs. Lu upset, Claudia Ross felt even more sorrowful, and she quickly took Mrs. Lu's arm.
"Mom, what's wrong?" she asked worriedly.
Mrs. Lu shook her head, trying to hide her feelings: "It's nothing, I just got something in my eye and rubbed it a bit, that's why they're red."
"Mom, where would sand come from in the house?" Claudia Ross frowned deeply, "Don't lie to me, tell me, what's really going on... Is the child alright?"
Her heart leapt to her throat, afraid that Mrs. Lu might conceal any bad news, even if something went wrong.
"The child is fine, perfectly alright." Mrs. Lu tightened her grip on the phone: "Your dad just called me..."
"Really?" Claudia Ross was extremely surprised: "What did he say?"
She couldn't be blamed for her surprise, wasn't her father the one who forgot Mrs. Lu? How could he call her now?
Did her father possibly remember something?
Mrs. Lu forced a bitter smile: "He asked who I was..."
As she spoke, Mrs. Lu was already in utter despair.
