After hanging up the phone, Zheng Haoyu glanced at Yiqiao and wanted to say something, but he ended up fetching a basin of warm water from the bathroom. He covered everything below Su Nian's collarbone with her silk blanket, wetted the towel, and began to gently wipe Nian's forehead and palms.
Yiqiao frowned but watched his motions in silence without preventing him from doing so.
Zheng Haoyu glanced at him, "Yiqiao, you're still young, there are some things you don't understand yet. You will when you grow up."
"What are you trying to say?" Yiqiao knelt beside Su Nian, using a small towel to wipe her other hand.
After taking a long look at him, Zheng Haoyu had an illusion: it was as if everything he was thinking and doing was insighted by the two children. Their stare pierced through all his secrets as if they knew about the past. His temples throbbed, yet how could that be possible?
