He answered without thinking, "Sure, I'll be there on time tomorrow."
Old Zhang's voice carried a hint of laughter, "Donglin, you've never let me down."
"It's all thanks to your guidance, Uncle."
"By the way, it won't affect Xixi's health, right?"
"No worries. Everything is pretty stable now, rest assured."
After hanging up the phone, he glanced at Yan Xixi lying on the bed. This crafty one was pretending to sleep earlier, acting like it was nothing, yet her ears were obviously perked up, listening very attentively.
As soon as she saw him hang up, she immediately asked, "What's up?"
He replied casually, "There's an important meeting tomorrow, Old Zhang wants me to attend."
"Old Zhang called you himself? Doesn't that mean the meeting is quite significant?"
He laughed, "It's a crucial moment now, I guess Old Zhang hopes I can hold the fort. But, work issues are never a big deal, so don't worry about that, Xixi. The only thing you need to focus on is the baby in your belly..."
