"Honey."
"How's Grandma doing?" Xi Yemo glanced at the operating room. Always composed, Mr. Xi's voice carried a faint tremble.
"They're still trying to save her. It's been an hour since she went in."
Lan Xin Ai was equally anxious.
"What exactly happened? Why did Grandma fall down the stairs?"
The man's gaze narrowed slightly.
"I..."
Lan Xin Ai had just opened her mouth,
when the operating room doors swung open. A group of doctors walked out with solemn faces.
"How is she? Is she going to be okay?" Lan Xin Ai asked urgently.
"Young Master Xi, we've done everything we can. The elder lady suffered brain damage leading to a cerebral hemorrhage... I'm afraid she won't wake up."
The doctor lowered his head.
Xi Yemo's body swayed.
Lan Xin Ai opened her mouth, her tone heavy with grief: "Doctor, what do you mean by this?"
Lin Mengyao's eyes lit up, but within moments, her expression returned to one of sorrow.
"The elder lady will most likely become a vegetable."
