"I think he's already here." Xing Yu looked up at Gongxi Yunqi, who refused to sit and stood straight. He tilted his neck from side to side, revealing a smile laced with subtle provocation.
After trailing him the entire way, Xing Yu had seen through all of Gongxi Yunqi's little schemes with crystal clarity.
Gongxi Yunqi didn't bother hiding anything. Instead, he stepped forward proactively and extended his right hand. "Hello, my name is Gongxi Yunqi. It's a pleasure to meet you." In truth, he wasn't pleased at all, but his upbringing since childhood ensured he would never show it.
"Xing Yu!" Xing Yu shook Gongxi Yunqi's hand briskly.
Nan Fei stood to the side. She didn't notice the turbulent undercurrents between the two men and merely turned to walk away.
The two exchanged a glance—one shrugged, while the other displayed a polite smile. Whatever they were truly thinking inside was known only to themselves.
