The more sensible her daughter becomes, the more heartache Ding Jinshi feels as a mother. She would prefer her daughter to be a bit more willful, rather than so mature and obedient at such a young age.
Ding Jinshi knows that at her daughter's age, she was still a little tyrant. She caused trouble for others instead of letting them trouble her. When she was young, she was nowhere near as sensible as her daughter.
Although Ding Jinshi no longer ignores Ding Long, whenever she's out of sight of her daughter, she reverts to being the cold Ding Jinshi, wearing an icy mask, speaking little, and sharing silent evenings with Ding Long without exchanging words.
