Standing at the child's room door, Ye Que said, "You go in and call the child out; it's not convenient for me."
Chi Zaozao quickly pushed open the door, walked straight to the child's bed, grabbed a coat in one hand, and pulled the blanket to call Leng Xue.
Leng Xue was still drowsy when she woke up.
She didn't even know what Chi Zaozao was saying, only felt her whole body being lifted and carried out of the room.
It wasn't until she sat in the car that she fully woke up.
Seeing her situation, Leng Xue turned her head and asked the people next to her, "Uncle, aunt, where are you taking me?"
In the middle of the night, Chi Zaozao didn't want to disturb the family, so she quietly carried Leng Xue out.
"Your father is sick, and we're going to check on him." Chi Zaozao said, stroking the child's head.
Upon hearing this, Leng Xue instinctively asked nervously, "What illness does he have, is it serious?"
"I don't know."
