Both of our Pokémons are closing in with the speed that is a bit difficult to see with our naked eyes.
"Pi pi pi pi!!!!!!" My Pidgey screeched madly, she is shouting her warcry as she madly drive all potentials within her wounded body to make a winning strike.
For her and for the Trainer who have taken care of her warmly as part of the family.
"Pi pidgey!!!!!" (For Glory!!!!!) Phinia let out an even more crazed cry.
Even when she is is currently moving in a breakneck speed under the effect of Quick Attack, and her opponent is also using the same move as her.
Bur she can feel the difference between them as the Scyther is slightly faster than her!
It is only a slight difference, but it is all that mantis needed to land the hit earlier than the tiny bird.
"Pi pidgey! Pi pi pidgey!" ("No! I won't give up! Even if I can't win, I will take my foe down with me!!!!") The glint in the eyes of the Pidgey show the resolution in her heart.
As the mantis scythe is closing in on her, the tiny bird make a daring move by rushing madly to her enemy, bravely abandoning her defense so that she can also land the hit at the same time as her enemy.
As the razor sharp scythes fron the Scyther have begun to carved a wound on the Pidgey, Phinia mustered all the strength and burn her potential to also land a hit with her beak and claws.
As the two Pokémon collides in a speedy attack, suddenly a bright light shone from the Battle Arena!
The Shining Light of Evolution!
My Pidgey is wrapped in a cocoon of brilliant light as the Scyther is pushed away from her by the mysterious force of evolution.
The swirl of power wrapped Phinia changing her body shape as she instantly grow bigger to a height of 1.1 meter (3 feet and seven inches), she grow long strands of bright orange colored plume on her hair and even her brown feathered tails becomes a colourful fan of alternating orange red and yellow colored feathers.
I stood in awe as I watched my newly evolved Pokémon, though my right hand still moved to take out my Pokédex and scanned her.

[Pidgeotto claims a large area as its own territory. This Pokémon flies around, patrolling on its living space. If its territory is violated, it shows no mercy in thoroughly punishing the foe with its sharp claws. This Pokémon is full of vitality and it also has an outstanding vision. However high a Pidgeotto flies, it is always able to distinguish the movements of its prey. The claws on its feet are well developed, that it used well to render its prey. A Pidgeotte is also a very strong flier, as it can carry a prey such as an Exeggcute weighing over to its nest over 60 miles away with ease.]
[This Pidgeotto have the ability Keen Eye, and it knows the move Peck, Tackle, Sand Attack, Fury Attack, Quick Attack, Wing Attack, Steel Wing, Aerial Ace, Gust and Brave Bird.]
My Pidgey have evolved to become a Pidgeotto!!!!
Not only that, she even learned a new move too, the high powered flying attack with recoil, Brave Bird!
"Pi pi pidgeotto!" The Pidgeotto let out a spirited warcry as she is getting ready to continue the match with Weevil's Scyther.
But my newly evolved Pokémon is bound to be disappointed.
"The Scyther cannot fight anymore, and the winner is Phinia the Pidgey, ahem ahem, Pidgeotto!!!!" The judge of the match announced that the battle has already ended with the Scyther KO'd and my Pidgeotto came out as the winner.
"Pi pidgeotto!?" ("What, that bug is down already!?") Phinia is astonished seeing her opponent is already down on the ground.
I returned my Phinia back to her pokeball after thanking her, and then proceed to get the 10,000 pokedollars prize money for becoming the champion of today's Single Duel Tournament.
After that of course I would visit the Pokémon Center to check up and heal all of my Pokémons, especially Phinia whi have suffered a heavy injury before she managed to evolve.
Thankfully, with the development of technology we have today in this wacky Pokémon World, Phinia's injuries are nothing serious as she only need to take the usual Pokémon Center Healing Service which lasted no more than five minutes to get her back fully healed and ready to fight again.
Sadly though, with all the modern medicine and medical technology we have here, although the Pokémons have enjoyed the benefits of instant healing from their grievous wounds with just a quick rest in the Pokémon Center Healing Service that costs only 50 pokedollars per Pokémon, the same cannot be said to the humans.
Well, unless you can catch humans with a Special PokeBall that is created to be able to catch and store human like in the fanmade hack mod game Pokémon Girls Hunter, then the captured humans can also "enjoy" the benefit of using the Pokémon Center Healing Service, with a price that they also lose all of their humanity rights and they will be treated the same like with any other Pokémon for as long as they are bound to their pokeballs.
After our business is done in the Pokémon Center, we all take a lunch at a restaurant that can provides a private lunch room for trainers and pokemons who would like to dine in or make a small celebratory party for themselves and their partners.
I ordered one such room to hold a small celebration for Phinia who have evolved from a Pidgey to become a Pidgeotto.
The smallest room here is the one for 7 human sized creatures, which I believe is usually catered for a trainer and his team of six pokemons.
Well, since we only have 2 humans and 4 pokémons with us, I ordered that room that cost 350 pokedollars along with the foods and drinks for the six of us that costed 150 pokedollars.
We eat and drink to our heart content, enjoying our moment as we took a rest before we are attending the Double Battle Tournament in the late afternoon.
This is the last tournament that we plan to have in this town before we will continue our journey to the Cupcake City to get our first badge.

After the usual procedure that both me and Kotonoha is already familiar with, we get to enter the first round of today's Tag Team Tournament held in Jelly Bean Town!
And our first pair of opponents are ...
*Drum roll* drum drum drum drum badummmp tesss~!
"Ladies and Gentlemen! For the first round of our Tag Team Tournament today, we have the champion from yesterday's tournament, the couple trainer Jovanna and Kotonoha on the blue side!" The emcee on a platform in Duel Dome excitedly announced our arrival on the Battle Arena.
"And for their opponents, we have the Dinosaur Duo Rex Raptor and Tirano Kenzan on the red side!" The Emcee exclaimed as two dinosaur duelists from Yu-Gi-Oh franchise are coming to take their place on the opposite side of us at the Battle Arena.
Seriously? Rex and Tirano? How in the distortion realm is the two Duelists from the different generation of their franchise appeared together as a Tag Team here?
(Fun Fact: Just in case there is someone who don't know, Rex Raptor or Dinosaur Ryuzaki (Dainasoo Ryuuzaki) in the Japanese version is a Duelist who specialized in Dinosaur Deck and he make his debut in the anime on the Duelist Kingdom Arc in the first generation of Yu-Gi-Oh! Franchise. Meanwhile Tirano Kenzan or Tyranno Hassleberry in the English Dub Yu-Gi-Oh! Anime is a Dinosaur Duelist from Ra Yellow who enters the Duel Academy on the second year in Yugioh! GX.)
