BAM!
"G-Ga-." A strange voice sounded.
An outstretched hand pierced from behind the two, ultimately lodged onto the barrels of oils. Multiple spills covered the ground before them, including the camera that Gadaric held desperately onto.
Gadaric had initially thought Thomas had peed himself once more but it wasn't the case. Thomas was on the ground covering his head with one hand and another grabbing onto Gadaric's shoes. Little sobs could be heard from him.
Shushing the crying Thomas, Gadaric huddles closer to listen to the voice that had tried to say something. He felt something off earlier but not wanting his recording to be disturbed, he paid it no attention.
"Gadaric?" The voice muttered.
Thomas's eyes widened as he began to make another scared expression. This voice sounded awfully familiar to a subordinate of Gadaric. Thomas held in his screams as he pointed at the long and stretchy hand in front of them.
The sounds of the monster's footsteps surround the nearby tents as if trying to pinpoint their exact location. Not budging, the two remained quiet and still, not leaving their spot.
"I know you're in there." It says once more.
Gadaric's face is filled with contemplation as he continues to listen to the sounds of the monster. Thomas could only cry without letting a sound out.
As Gadaric observed, the long hand in front of him suddenly shakes attempting to pull back. Taking this as a sign, Gadaric grabbed onto Thomas's shirt and dragged him along.
The monsters outside didn't matter anymore. They were being targeted by something and getting out was more important. But before the two could get out, the hand that was slowly pulling itself out of the barrels began to struggle.
"Agh! Let go of me!" It screamed angrily.
BOOM!
In the next few seconds another scream follows as the hand gets pulled forward. The barrels all fall over as the tent gets taken down, exposing the two. Thomas panicked and hid behind Gadaric, keeping himself small.
"B-b-b-boss. We're done for." Thomas cried.
Shielding himself from dust and smoke, Gadaric lets down his hand. Gadaric slowly removes Thomas's grip and gets up from the crouching. His gaze remains on a single place never losing focus. It was eerily shocking.
Crunch. Crunch.
The sounds of tendons and bone breaking filled Gadaric's ears. The loud screams from before were not there anymore. It was like his ears were filtering out the sound.
Eagle couldn't resist it. His vision was fully blurred only heightening his other senses. The smell was so tempting and the sudden urge to eat was too great.
Every few seconds while biting away, Eagle would glance down at the squirming and screaming monster beneath him, as if enjoying its reaction.
But he didn't. He was crying and yet he was still eating it.
Gadaric questioned the scene before him. Just a moment ago, the little boy was still fighting the curse. He was aware of his situation.
But now, everything has changed. The little humanity in the boy's eyes had disappeared.
Aziel could feel what was happening behind her. The change in pace had disturbed her own consciousness, making her weaker than before. With a situation like this, how was she supposed to fulfill it?
The giant entity continues to attack her, destroying each cloth she manages to form from the smoke. The longer this happened, the more she felt herself losing energy.
She had initially thought the boy's urge to change was much stronger than the curse. But she was wrong.
Maybe she had made the wrong judgment?
Crash!
Temporarily losing focus, Aziel gets thrown across the camp, landing on her back. She coughs harshly from the impact but quickly gets up from the spot. She needed to finish this quickly, or she might fall to the same fate.
"Alright." She muttered.
As the curse grew stronger so did her will. Running at full speed, Aziel relied on the smoke surrounding her.
"I'll finish this then." stated Aziel.
She creates the cloth once more, throwing it towards the entity. She'll cut it apart as best as she could. Just like predicted, it grabbed onto the cloth, pulling her in at a very quick speed.
Utilizing the swiftness of the force, she quickly launches herself from the ground. It begins to swing the cloth allowing her to elevate herself more.
"Got it!" She excitedly says.
Holding onto the bones from its neck, she takes another cloth, wrapping it around the bone and begins to kick at it. A loud screech came from the monster as it tried to swing her off from its neck.
Its size is preventing it from grabbing onto her easily, using this to her advantage, she continues to break off the other bones. The entity lashed out in anger, allowing even more sharper and denser bones to grow.
"Kugh." She felt a throbbing pain in her head.
Nearly getting pierced by the bone, she avoids it only to slip off from the monster and is flung full force onto the ground once more. This time, she spits out blood. As the monster sees this, it smiles and begins flying towards her.
Aziel could feel herself losing focus. The curse had fully taken over Eagle as its gooey and dark blue flesh slowly covered all of him.
The amount of energy she had used to prevent this from happening had fully depleted. She couldn't help him.
Now the curse's next target was her, trying to take over her consciousness as she got closer to killing this entity. Was she going to fail this?
"You!"
A loud and hoarse voice called out to the boy.
The monster from beneath him had slowly melted onto the ground as Eagle continued to consume it. It seemed his tears had been burning at the monster, making it melt.
As he slowly regained his sight, Eagle looked over at the man who had yelled at him. He had a missing eye and dirty brown hair that was like a bird's nest. He was approaching him and yet Eagle couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Was it the similarity of the man's voice to his uncle's?
BOOM!
The entity had taken hold of Aziel, trying to suffocate and squeeze her to death. But the sudden change in the curse's movement had allowed her to focus her energy on the smoke surrounding the entity.
Finally!
The remaining smoke turned into the silk cloth all at once, cutting apart the giant hand that had grasped onto Aziel. She quickly takes a hold of the long line of cloth still wrapped around the monster's neck.
Squeezing and pulling it, it cuts through the flesh of the entity and explodes within its body.
Explode?
Several crashes and booms could be heard from outside the gates. Aziel looked onward at the oncoming crowd of people. Many soldiers and leaders were at the places with cannons and grenade guns.
She pulls the end of the cloth towards herself. The glowing yet translucent life force is absorbed along with the silk that slowly dissipates into smoke. Dust and smoke covered the whole camp.
Aziel finally returns her attention back to the boy, making her way towards his direction. He had initially been taken over by the curse despite the shield she had given him. The damages were sure to be serious. She stops in her tracks.
There was a strange man hovering over the unconscious little boy. It was the same man from before.
He begins to pick Eagle up from the ground. His gaze lands onto her, remaining still and serious. Another person glanced over at her and jumped back in fear.
"Ah. Right."
Her eyes were still white.
