The battlefield has been stained red, the death toll is immense, but the great powers are still waiting their turn to attack.
That was a very brief but very descriptive summary of how the war was going.
But it was a facade.
"Many troops have died," Sophia said suddenly. "Those guys are attacking somehow, right?"
One of her strategists and elders of her family nodded. "Guerrilla tricks. I think it's poison and deadly traps. Plus disguises to pass themselves off as normal soldiers," he replied.
"I've noticed. But they're losing more than five times the number of troops to those poisons and traps, aren't they? What use are they to them? Don't they care about losing troops?"
"Most likely, they want to drag the war out over a period of months," replied another of their strategists.
Sophia nodded, understanding the meaning.
Even if they lose many men, as long as the allied troops also lose men, the war can continue to expand.
