Chapter 10 - °["To a New Beginning!"]°

The setting sun shined down the ruined village and as Yu stood on top of the rubble looking out upon the destruction that was caused from his first fight inside this fantasy world he lowered his head, gripping tightly onto his past friend's spear. He then walked across the rubble, looking for the bodies of the Village he promised to save but no there was nothing left. The fields, the houses, the main path everyone would walk on, there was not a single body to be found and as Yu slowly walked back to the mountain of rubble and wood, he then stabbed the spear into it, gazing at the spear for the last time.

"Maybe this adventuring stuff isn't for me."

°[Yu, there was nothing you could do..it's not your fault]°

He then chuckled and his soft smile was lit up by the setting sun in front of him, shining down upon the used to be Uli village.

"Well, they're in a better place anyways. Alright then Blue let's get back." As he walked away from the starved village, then a thought popped into his mind.

"So, is there a reason why it seems that's weird gross monster knew my name? She seemed too also know me from somewhere to?"

°[Mmmmmm maybe she was talking about someone else?]°

"Hmmmmm, not gonna lie I don't seem to believe you-"

°[h-hey! I was still with you the entire time we were there so please believe me...]°

Yu laughed. "I didn't even mention that! I know you were there, and like Matt said, no matter what I could have done the barrier would've fell and they would've died to instant starvation and dehydration..."

°[In the future you'll be strong enough to save anyone you want I promise Yu]°

He then stopped in his tracks as he looked up upon the horizon, colored in a gorgeous orange and yellow. He then responded, "yeah...next time I'll definitely be stronger."

From there on Yu began to jog back to Faviolones, feeling the cool moonlit breeze across his skin and the sound of the soft grass field blowing, bringing a calming feeling. As he reached Faviolones and began to walk throughout the calm but bustling midnight City he couldn't help but feel safer, like everything he experienced was simply a bad dream. He then finally reached the guild house, opening the door but quickly running into Khali which was blocking his way him inside and as she looked at him a smug could be seen quickly appearing onto her face. "So Sir, it seems you've completed your S rank quest." And as she said that Yu held his head down, unable to look Khali into her eyes.

She gazed at him, confused as she quickly realized his cheek bones showing, his body no longer as bulky as he was before he left and also his clothes, replacing the high-quality black clothing he was wearing before.

"Yu? Are you..okay?"

His legs began to feel weak, and from those simple words guilt flooded his body as the feeling of uselessness filled his soul and thoughts, and before she could say anything else he crumbled to his knees, tears forcefully running from his eyes and cheeks as his body trembled. She quickly kneeled down, comforting him. Absolutely baffled from a situation she couldn't imagine coming from someone that was trained from Tom and the others. She slowly patted his head, continuing to comfort him as his head pounding weeps sounded as if he experienced torture.

For 30 minutes Khali comforted Yu in front of the entrance of the guild house, some adventures confused as they walked and as Yu calmed down Khali helped him up while her worries grew. They both took a seat across from each other inside the empty guild house lobby and Khali asked.

"Hey, what happened in Uli village?"

He tightened his hands as he responded, his voice wavering from the intense emotions that were let out. "It started out...well weird, the barrier wiped all modern development and naturally replaced my gear with the clothes of the village people. After I went inside, I was trapped and that's when everything gotten weirder, the people inside didn't know of the barrier, and also seemed to not know anything besides the hunger and thirst but they also seemed to not even mind that...then my memory was wiped and I lived there..... I'm still trying to wrap my head around it but after gaining my memories back I fought this woman but she was this disgusting monster and after I won, everything and everyone was destroyed."

She sat there and listened with her heart open, taking in all the details within what he said. But then her eyes widened as a realization hit her. "W-wait, you're the only survivor..?"

Yu then nodded. "I am, they've all passed.."

She then suddenly stood up, quickly taking his hand and rushing to the storage room as she grabbed a bag and began to pack clothes and needed supplies for travel. He watched her, confused to the sudden rush. "I-is there something wrong Khali??"

She then looked at him roughly putting the bag filled with traveling materials and the put a bag of golden coins onto of his bag as Yu stumbly carried both. She then responded to his confusion with a stern tone. "You have to get out of here, don't let the authorities get you, especially when they figure out you're the only survivor of Uli."

Yu then responded. "Wait why do I have to avoid the authorities, it's good for them to know about everything!"

She quickly responded, pushing him out the storage. "The last thing they'll do is help, in total there were 700 people in Uli village and now everyone besides a adventure that they have little to no data on is the only survivor and also spouting crazy stuff like monsters inside the barrier. You'll be their number one suspect and will most likely be imprisoned or worse!"

Yu was then pushed out the guild house, then turning to Khali. "That doesn't..." She then cut him off as she gazed directly into his eyes, inside them complete trust and seriousness. "I know it doesn't make fair, but the country of Dandelion isn't as amazing as it used to be especially since the new leader, so you just have to leave Dandelion and go to wherever place. I recommend Uriel Kingdom; it may be way different over there and discrimination against pures is a big problem there but you look human enough, so you won't be sold into slavery!"

Yu responded quickly. "S-slavery? Wait why should I go there again!?"

She then pushed him forward from behind his back. "Hurry up and go! I know someone over there, her names Geo Lila! Go to the adventures guild there and just ask! I gave you a map so hurry up...also, make sure to never get caught by anyone from Dandelion."

He then looked at her and smiled. "Make sure to tell Tom and the others that I'm innocent, thanks for helping me." She then turned her head as shooing him away and as she did that, he put on the backpack, running as fast as he could out of Faviolones.

"Hey Blue! "

°[Already done! Map to Uriel Kingdom now set!]°

A blue screen then appeared in front of him, showing the way to Uriel and also the terrain and beasts that are around the area.

"Question, how long will it take me again? "

°[Mmmmm at this speed, a month!]°

"A month!?!? "

°[....agreed- you should learn mana manipulation, it'll make it faster.]°

"..."

°[it's easy- don't worry! :>]°

"If you say so, tell me how and I'll master it. "

Blue began to explain as he ran past everyone and the front entrance from Faviolones, officially leaving under the Moonlit night. He continued to sprint, through the grass fields, hiding from every monster he saw and reaching a seemingly safe area with zero beasts or people and as the breeze blew the grass field he approached the tree up the small hill, gazing at the beauty of the Moonlit grass.

"It's pretty huh, wait can you see Blue?"

she nodded her head inside the black abyss she was sitting in. °[Yeah~ this place is beautiful]°

"Apparently over at Uriel Kingdom slaves exist, you thinkin what I'm thinkin?"

°[Destroy the Kingdom?]°

Yu stood there in awkward silence.

°[Sorry- too early huh-...you want to save the people of course ^°^]°

He then sighed, beginning to laugh aloud.

°[Wh-why are you laughing!?]°

He continued to laugh, falling onto the soft grassy ground.

°[Yuuuuuuu!]°

He wiped his tears, catching his breath. "Sorry! It's just your so unpredictable for my basically personal AI assistant!"

°[I'm not AI!! I'm a living being >:<]°

"Yeah yeah, I figured that out pretty quickly. Anyways, I'm starving, how am I not dead yet?"

°[Your welcome!]°

He tilted his head. "Wait can you just make my body full right now too?"

°[Your bag most likely has good in it]°

He then paused, then taking off the backpack Khali gave him, beginning to look threw it. Though she did pack him everything he needed to travel and survive, what she packed was something Yu wasn't so excited about. He then pulled out a pack of jerky and a big bottle of water and as he opened the pack of jerky and took a bite out of it the feeling of finally having something inside his to flowed throughout his body, and from that moment he began to devour every last piece of jerky that was in one of many packs she packed for him and chugged the cold clean water, the empty feeling of his parched throat and empty tummy going away in second as he laid down fully satisfied.

"Man...that was definitely not enough, I could eat an entire cow right now...but that one 24-piece packet will be fine for now."

He then opened his System, realizing something as he stared at it. "Wait, this world has system leveling up and I'm level 10... actually why am I so low leveled after killing that thing- but anyways...Ever since I just popped into this world this system has just been here and everyone seems to have their versions of it from what I remember." He then chuckled as he comfortably laid on the grass staring up at the starry sky.

"I should Level up and become stronger. Man, I'm craving a wet burrito right now"
