A golden streak shot across the sky—it was Leon, holding Ruri tightly against his chest.
To keep her safe, Leon used his dragon power to shield her from the fierce wind.
Ruri wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing her face into his broad chest.
"So comfortable," she whispered shyly to herself.
Even through his robe, she could feel the solid muscles beneath. The sensation both embarrassed and excited her.
After all, she had never touched—let alone felt—a man's muscles before.
If Leon had known what was going through her mind, he would have been stunned and exclaimed, "Ruri, I didn't expect you to be so naughty!"
Leon quickened his flight to the south. According to Ruri, the Valley of a Thousand Whispers lay at the southernmost tip, and traveling there on foot would take weeks—if not months.
The path was treacherous, with dense forest, steep hills, towering mountains, and countless other obstacles.
