"So, where are we going, Master?" Miranda asked curiously.
Leon came to a halt. He rubbed his chin, his eyes scanning the dense forest around them.
At first, he had assumed the journey could only continue by sea—but he had been mistaken. Just beyond the tribe's settlement lay a forest rumored to be directly connected to the mainland.
"For now, there's something I need to take care of before we move on," Leon said softly.
"Take care of something?" Miranda tilted her head, puzzled. "What is it?"
Leon simply smiled. "You'll see soon enough."
Without another word, he activated the Eye of Chaos in his right eye, scanning the area.
Having fully awakened it once before, his control over the power had improved significantly since the first time he used it.
Even so, he couldn't activate it completely just yet—his body wasn't ready.
Still, he felt no frustration or doubt. He was certain the time would come.
"Found you," he murmured with a faint smile.
