Zendra wants to beat her up so badly but she holds herself and decides to change the topic and says to Anamika
"Tomorrow is Nadine's birthday banquet, you are coming with me"
Zendra say with no room for negotiation, Anamika looks at her and comment.
"Over the years, I noticed that you are very friendly with that fool, but news splash baby, I am not with you in this, I have surgery to perform in the next four days so I want a total rest. for Christ sake, I am a human being not a wood, I just flew in this morning after six hours of standing and performing surgery, have mercy on me"
Anamika pleads with eyes closed ready to lie back down, but Zendra held her shoulders as she replies
"Oh, you finally realized that you aren't a wood. Honey I don't care, Nadine asked me to bring you with me while coming, so you are coming"
Anamika then cut in
"And I just said that I am not going, thanks for the invite but I am not in the mood to witness the life style of those rich brats of their caliber and one more thing, I don't have anything to wear for the party, so thank you and good night''
Zendra laughs out when she heard what Anamika said before commenting
"Ha! Rich brats huh! Darling if I remember correctly, you happen to be one of them"

Zendra nearly fall down seeing how pitiful Anamika looks while saying all this, she went to her and touch her shoulder and comment

Anamika stand up, walks to Zendra's desk and picks a glass of water covered on the desk, and sip from it, Zendra want to say something but Anamika's cell phone on the couch beside her rings
"Turn it off, it might be the old man, he want to kill me before my time"

but Zendra looks at the caller ID and finds out is Don not Mr. McDuck, Anamika's granduncle, so she swipe answer botton and have it connect to the six inches LED television in her office before answering,.
The call is a video call and immediately it is connected, Donald handsome face come up to the screen, he shout when he sees the two ladies faces
"Hello my beautiful ladies"
Don greets with a happy and cheerful smile,
But instead of them returning his greeting with a smile, they replies in the same tone
"Cut the crabs and go straight to your reason of calling"
Don next words that is still on the tip of his mouth change and he fires back
"Must you two be heartless whenever I call; I am just being cute with you two…..now director Erasmus who is beside me is laughing at me"
Don complains as he push the screen of his phone aside and a man's face who seems to be on his late thirties shows up, he is a popular movie director whose movie becomes popular just by its trailer,
The Director greeted the ladies before Don Take over and his friend's question
"What are you doing with the movie man? Have you planned to join the movie company instead?
Anamika queries
"Are you being serious now?"
Don says looking at her with disappointment
"Why the look, she asked you a reasonable question, do let us know when you decide to change your career"
Zendra joins,
Don tsk and decides not to comment more on thwie words
"I am doing one of the songs for his movie and guess what…Gwenn is his second female lead"

But the girls give him

Don sigh and give up on that topic and went straight to his reason of calling at the first place
"I called because tomorrow is my brother's birthday and I have sent your invites, no excuses. Plus, I have been nominated for the upcoming award giving of the best music of the year, it will be hold in four days, I am informing you two now because I want you to clear your schedule for me, is my day even if I win or not….please tell me you don't have any surgery on that day Ana?''
Don who has finished blurting out all he wanted to say, happens to see Anamika's face drop, so he couldn't help but ask
Zendra looks at Anamika at the same time, Anamika don't answer so Don repeated his words and this time with a low voice that sounded quite unlike him
"Do you have plans Ana?'
"…..Yeah, I am sorry Don; I have two surgeries on that day"
"Again you never…..is fine, I understand that you took an oath to protect and save lives, but tomorrow you have to come for the party. see you ladies tomorrow"
Don hung up before Anamika could say anything,
Zendra turn to Anamika who's head is bend, she understand the situation very well, since over the years, Anamika never attends to any award ceremony Don is nominated to, either she is leaving the country for seminar or have surgery on that day, but Don never miss any of her happy moments.
"He is angry isn't he?''
Anamika ask after a while
"Yep, but he will be over it before tomorrow, but….Ana try and be there for him, even if it is for few minutes, he will appreciate it"
Zendra advices
"I understand"
Anamika sigh heavily
"Okay enough of that expression, let's go out, I have some shopping to do, because I need to be beautiful for my baby tomorrow"
Zendra says as she starts packing her bags,
Anamika turn to the busy figure and comment
"Tell him to put a ring on that finger, I am tired of calling him brother-in-law when he haven't done the needful"
Anamika stands up and pick her cell phone on the couch after saying this, ready to walk out
"Jealous girlfriend, humped!"
Zendra murmurs behind Anamika, Anamika laughs while walking out from the office.
They shopped all day, thanks to Zendra who never stops when she sees something she likes, Anamika really want to curse her for making her walk around the shopping mall all afternoon till evening.
As soon as Anamika returns home, she don't have time to eat and went straight to her room, immediately her head hits the pillow she slept off, only to wake up the next day afternoon. (don't be surprise, she sleeps a lot')

The next day:
When Zendra comes over all dressed up for the party, she meets Anamika sitting on one of the couch in the sitting room still on her pajamas, Zendra plead to God for help in order not to strangle her best friend, but Mrs. Priscilla, Anamika's mom, saves her instead as she says from the kitchen door way
"You look stunning darling"
Mrs. Priscilla complements
Zendra is wearing one of the Dior's latest black sexy dress that cost more than fifty thousand dollars, her hair is painstakingly curled to frame her small face with small wave, with a silver six inches heels on her feet's, and her purse
Mrs. Priscilla circle her around as she complement her look, Ana stand up and admire her friend then add
"I am a proud girlfriend, at least when you stand beside me, I won't lose face"
Mrs. Priscilla and Zendra looks at each other since they were waiting for Anamika to praise Zendra's look but instead she praised herself, her mother went speechless because her daughter has always being like that
"By the way, I decided to change my mind, I will accompany you to the party, just because of the dress you bought for me, if not, I will be going for my second round of sleep"
Anamika says,
Zendra answer with a bow
"Thanks our royal highness, now can you go and freshen up, so we can go''
"Alright"
Anamika replies and drags herself upstairs to her room,
Mrs. Priscilla then turns to Zendra and asks
"Is she really my daughter?''
Zendra laughs before replying
"The face can't lie, but if is in behavior, I think it can lie"
