Chapter 91 - Chapter 91 - The Last Time for Hoshi and Manuel

Third person POV

By past 12 o'clock, all of them arrived at Cubao's Araneta Bus Terminal, one of the Philippines' busiest bus terminals. The trip has been so smooth and has had a few setbacks, including a stopover at a gas station in NLEX (North Luzon Expressway). Hoshi and his group grabbed their belongings and got off, being relieved to have arrived at their destination. Taro and Sha were excited to leave the terminal and see the wonders of Metro Manila. But first things first: after exiting the terminal, they must find a hotel for 3 days, which will be the length of their stay in this big metropolitan region.

So, all of them did so, and a few hours ago, while on their bus trip, Mariya had booked 3 hotel rooms in a cheap but nice hotel in Quezon City for 1,500 pesos per night, which sounds like a bargain. However, now, they were struggling to search for it. The address was present in the hotel booking app, but they weren't familiar with Quezon City yet.

Luckily, though, a young man, who was a college student, saw their struggle and went there, asking, "Hi there, do you need any help?" Hoshi and his group then looked at him.

"Oh, hello," Hoshi responded while carrying his bags.

"We need some help to search for this hotel," Mariya added, before showing the hotel's exterior photo on her phone to him.

Seeing that, the young man, Manuel Brian, responded back positively, "Ah! I know that place. Come with me."

He then guided them to that hotel, which was located within Manuel's neighbourhood.

There Hoshi and his group were relieved to have arrived at their hotel place, and Hoshi and Mariya, as well as Sha and Reo, said thank you to Manuel. "I'm happy to help," Manuel replied with a smile.

He then suddenly glanced at Hoshi. "And you, what's your name?"

"Oh! My name is Hoshi Carmen Takada-Santos," Hoshi replied back after being taken aback by his question.

"Nice to meet you, and you're a Filipino, right?"

"Yes, a Filipino-Japanese po from Nara City, Japan."

Hoshi had absolutely no idea what Manuel would ask for his name.

Nevertheless, Manuel said to him, "Okay, I am happy to help."

He then looked at his phone, only to see that it was almost time for his classes at college. "Oh! I have to go now! I had classes to tackle!"

He then ran away while saying his goodbyes to Hoshi and his group.

But little did Hoshi knew that this would be the last time he and Manuel would see each other because Manuel will die tonight.
