Ethan let out screams as he fell down the stairs, when he finally stopped he was met with dim dark surrounding's, looking down he saw only few steps left to an opening, he frowned saying to himself
"Who builds stairs all the way down to an underground cave, if it were normal times, is ould have loved to explore but now am just..."
Ethan stopped talking when he heard vague voices, he turned back and looked up seeing the trees outside its leaves rustling with wind, then looked back down gritting his teeth as he looked up,
"Fuck, what's the worst that could happen, let take a look" Ethan muttered under his breath as he walked down as he got closer to the cave he heard the voices clearly this time, it was the voice as Cassandra shouting at Derick with countless insect whispers, though he was not sure from the sound what animal was that, stopping at the side of the cave walls before he stepped out, he leaned his ear to hear more clearly
"What the fuck is wrong with Derick, why did you wake them up now, you fucking moron"
Derick with his voice laced with annoyance, said
"This was the mission given by mother before when we went last time, or where you to busy thinking of the stray dog you picked up, and did not hear what she said"
Cassandra with a face full of disdain looked at Derick and sneered
"Fool, you stupid idiot, whenever I think I have seen the lowest of intelligence, you manage to surprise me more and more, in case you have forgotten the stray I picked up, has human agencies all over the forest looking for him, and do you think this is still the time where they the fight us with guns and knives, one aim of their missiles or that satellite in space, and we are done"

"Once these guys awake completely they are gonna be hungry, and we haven't prepared necessary provisions yet, after enduring 'A' two centuries of hunger do you think they will wait for us to provide, try telling them oh wait, there are humans outside looking for their kind, so as not to make them aware of our presence here, wait once they live we will bring you food"
