The curt, sarcastic response was all Lucas deigned to give before he turned away from the uncomfortably red face of the suffocating Jack to close his eyes and wait, while hovering a few inches above the ground as if held by a stable, invisible force.
"We are done."
Hannah walked back into the living room with a slight spring in her steps. In her hand were two outfits, one of which she threw at Jack, before walking to another door across the room while ignoring his smile and speaking to Lucas:
"Big brother, your outfit is with big sis. I'm going to change."
Jack caught the thing thrown into his bosom, then looked at Lucas, looking calm and unflappable. Even the voice Lucas got was sweet while, for all his bright face, he didn't even get a flat voice.
Exhaling in helplessness, he looked up again and was met with a crack that showed the golden eyes looking at him while a small satisfied smile came to adorn the lips below the amused eyes.
"Ah~~"
