*Bang!*
Jack fluttered back from the blow, buffeting both the front and the back with currents of hazy wind. He touched the corner of the building behind him with his toes, crouching down almost parallel to the ground, then pushed himself again.
*Boom*
The wall behind him crumbled, proving his decision to keep moving right. He touched the ground with one foot, and immediately moved to the side of a grey-skinned alien around the same height as him, and plunged his hand through the side of his neck, tearing the flesh through and through before the layer of earth appearing there could solidify, and he disappeared again, this time, behind a cracking building. The crowd around him scrambled to catch up to him as he shook the viscous blood off his hand, his face tense but his eyes calm.
