He barely made it a step before Duke caught him by the scruff of his uniform and yanked him back.

Before Keith could protest, Duke casually climbed into the backseat beside Kisha and gave him an utterly unbothered sidelong glance.
Keith's eye twitched.
'That damn bastard.' He raged inside his mind.
His grievance only deepened when Kisha didn't even scold Duke for stealing his spot. Instead, she simply accepted Duke sitting beside her as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Keith's shoulders slumped.

His own sister had forgotten all about her beloved little brother the moment she found herself a new love.
He puffed out his cheeks and sulked like a child before reluctantly climbing into the front passenger seat. With an exaggerated sigh, he buckled his seat belt and stared straight ahead, refusing to acknowledge the two people behind him.
