"Kisha, dear, I read the notice you sent earlier," Mrs. Winters said, her brows furrowing with concern. "If a winter storm is really coming, are you still planning to leave? Can't you wait until the storm passes before setting out?"
"Right, sweetheart," Grandma Aldens added, her expression equally worried. "It sounds far too dangerous to travel under those conditions."
"Mom, Grandma, don't worry," Kisha said, giving them a reassuring smile. "We're Awakened ability users, so our bodies are much tougher than ordinary people's. Most of us are already at a relatively high level, too. We won't freeze to death just because the temperature drops a little."
She said it jokingly at first, trying to lighten their worries, but her expression soon turned serious.
