Not far from their position, a massive black wolf was locked in a fierce battle against a gigantic porcupine.
Both were clearly mutated beasts, and not ordinary ones.
The black wolf had awakened a wind elemental ability. Its body had grown to an enormous size, easily larger than a horse, with dense, dark fur rippling under the currents of wind that constantly swirled around it.
Even its mane had thickened, forming a protective layer around its neck like a lion's, shielding one of its most vulnerable points, the throat. When it moved, it was almost unreal. Its speed had increased to an extreme degree, its body gliding across the ground as if riding the wind itself. Each dash left faint afterimages in the air, making its movements difficult to track as it effortlessly evaded incoming attacks.
Its opponent, the mutated porcupine, was no less terrifying.
