On the top floor of Norneau's hospital, Owyn's awakening was far from painful. He felt like he should be feeling pain, but it was just a dull throb in his skin. He remembered sharing a smile with Arc after they killed the monster together, before she collapsed, and he tried to jump up to her.
Tried, in that he'd immediately managed to fall, before he was put on a stretcher and floated to the hospital with the rest of the incursion victims. Somewhere in all that, he passed out, and now he stared down at his own body, which was covered in blue bandages soaked in some kind of liquid.
He turned his head, an act that hurt immensely, and noticed that the room he was in seemed very similar to the one he'd woken up in when he first arrived in Norneau. Unlike that time, he was in a four-poster bed with various inscrutable devices clinging to the posts. When he finished turning his head, he saw a little card on the side table that said "Press The Sigil" in blocky script.
